The AV 105 has been described as a superb car and probably the last vintage machine made in the UK. Powered by an enlarged 3 litre engine with improved breathing and Zenith downdraught carburettors, the customer version differed very little from its racing sibling though with a cast iron rather than aluminium block and priced at £835. In 1931 four 105s were tuned to provide a reported 119 bhp, in Brooklands trim further tuning and an increased compression ratio gave rise to a claimed 125bhp. The Talbot acquired its fame on the racing circuits, featuring prominently at Brooklands, in 1932 Talbot pulled out of racing, but a major Talbot dealer named Warwick Wright successfully ran a team of three 105s that year, and other teams operated by dealers and enthusiasts continued to race the cars at least till 1938 Diolch am 96,927,396 o olygfeydd anhygoel, mae pob un yn cael ei werthfawrogi'n fawr.
