Taylor Jasmine White hails from Jackson, Mississippi and is a freshman vocal performance major and business minor at #XavierUniversity of #Louisiana where she currently hold a 3.8 GPA. Taylor is an accomplished singer. She has received several awards and performed professionally across the country, singing multiple genres of music including Blues, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Rock, Reggae, and Country. Taylor has opened for several blues and R&B artists including #WillieClayton, #TreWilliams, and #GradyChampion. When not at school, she studies under Grady Champion at his recording studio in Canton, MS. Taylor has worked on 10 movies and can be seen with #OctaviaSpencer and #KevinCostner in the movie, #BlackorWhite. She has worked twice with #ForestWhitaker on the movies #TheButler and #Repentance. Taylor has also appeared on the small screen in #MemphisBeat and HBO’s #Tremé and was a part of the New Stage production of #Hairspray and Fondren Theatre Workshop’s productions of #TheRockyHorrorShow where she played Magenta and #AvenueQ in which she played Gary Coleman.
