I decided to go ahead and go to Tri Pride today.
So far, I'm having fun. Ran into a couple of protesters outside, but other than that it's going well.

Here are some pictures I took from Tri-Pride Parade 2022, the first ever Large-Scale Pride event held in Bristol, TN, and Bristol, VA!
The ones leading the parade!!
Pics of me and my fiancé! This was our first time attending a large-scale Pride event!
Pics of Ms Tri-Pride Eboni Alexander and of the cars!
(also, that kid that was a group away from us was soooo wholesome!! Before the parade started, I heard him ask his parents incredulously "The parade's going to come to US?!" COVID's been a thing for 2, going on 3, years so the poor kid probably hadn't ever seen a parade that he can remember.
Free Mom Hugs!
I may be a bit biased, but the best performers had to have been the East Tennessee State University color guard. I have so many pictures of them on my phone, but here's probably the best one
Can't remember what this group was for, but my fiancé was hard core in love with the person in the middle
Another group with flags that were also quite amazing! The guy in the front and center had so much gay and fabulous swagger!
Will be posting more pics of the event from inside the campgrounds soon! (Likely as a reblog of this post)
Fox/Ghibli/Tools/Orange based Trigender moodboard with the name Ren! ^^ For an anon!! Hope you like the look!
Want one? send an ask~ -mod Jay

Tri-Pride
I just got back from pride and, I loved it!! I spent the whole time interacting with other people. Despite the fact it was in a Southern place, there were barely any protestors. I saw 10? If even that. I have lived here for so many years and I never once thought that this place would be so accepting. My own mother told me time and time again that I would fail and fall if I came out. My life would forever be negatively impacted and I would loose all my chances for being happy. But going to that event and seeing and being there I realized I don’t care. I’ll always have a support group. I’ll always be able to stand proudly no matter what. I held a flag high as a choir(of all gay men and their supporters) from a church across the street came to protest the protestors. I cheered with everyone else as we crowned our first Tri-Pride Queen. I am so Proud to be here, in this community, here with all these amazing people. I kissed one of my best friends and received cheers. I got to be myself and received cheers.
My dad and his girlfriend came to support me and they cheered me on too. There’s too much to say, and too much to love about the Tri-City LGBTQ+ community. All I can say is that I am Proud to be a part of it. And to all those who were unable to come I love you. We’re here for you, and we’ll support you. Even if the world doesn’t. Happy Tri-Pride!!
Tri-Pride Festival
Anyone going to the festival this Saturday? Anyone wanna come with me?
