I need to show you all my Christmas gift to myself.
The box is a little banged up, but overall I am very happy with it. Now I need to find a place to put this!

If you aren't already planning on it, you NEED to show Grey the Tri-Rex toy in the Time of Dinosaurs review. It's SO CLOSE to her old Megamorph theory.
You are EXTREMELY correct. Just look at this beauty:
And, in case you couldn’t appreciate its true majesty, here it is disassembled:
Gray will be so pleased.
Last night I got into a conversation about the Animorphs Tri-Rex toy(s) and I started trying to figure out how such a merger would occur. I couldn't figure out a serious answer, so enjoy this really silly take instead.
For reference, here is the toy:
Everyone needs to experience the “Tri-Rex” from the robust but short-lived “Transformers” toyline for ANIMORPHS. All of the toys in the line are intensely, deeply problematic. And I kind of love them for it. I had at least one of every character as a kid, including those godawful Ax and Visser 3 toys. But the Tri-Rex eluded me…but only as a child. As an adult with disposable income, it had no chance.
Look at this thing. Apparently, in an effort to create a “combiner,” while also targeting the popular dinosaur toy market, some uncelebrated GENIUS at Hasbro decided “Hey why don’t 3 of the underaged kids mush their bodies together and create one giant animal?” This of course flies in the face of the canon of the books, specifically that morphing tech accounts for things like mass displacement. Furthermore, the kids HAD Rex forms in one of the standalone novels, but lost the power once they went back to their present time (long story). Either way, this Cronenbergian nightmare must be preserved and remembered by future generations. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to bid on more Animorphs eBay lots.
