Going back from the Option menu in the trial version of Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream would place you on Quit. This does not occur anymore in the full version.

OH!! i used to play the games alot as a child (warning they can be very hard cus theyre bullet hell games) id say start at embodiment of scarlet devil its a pretty good beginner game tbh then continue the line of games there and if u wanna play easy mode there is NO HATE!!! no hate allowed for easy mode players (i still play easy mode/normal mode ok)

i also watched some of the music videos by iosys ! theyre cute heres an example of one

there is also a fan anime of touhou if you wanna watch taht it is very cute!!! ahh!!

They Despair, they despair not

Upupupu~” Monokuma reeled back, and let out a laugh, all whilst staring down Kotori. Kotori’s face remained blank as she pulled the rim of her sunhat down further on her face. “Alrighty, well, I hope your little camping trip helped you appreciate everything that I’ve provided for you here. If not, I suppose you can keep traipsing about the island… It looks like we might be here a while.”

Monomi’s silent and very clearly pissed. Arguing and protesting clearly hadn’t done anything, so a new method was due. She crosses her arms and faces away from the group.

“Aaaaaanyway, without further adieu, let’s get this class trial started! Let’s see if you can overcome the island challenge, and identify whodunnit this time! Who slaughtered the flowerboy? It’s your job to find out!”

“OH! One more quick thing for you people behind the screens. Send in an ask to lock in your vote. To change your vote, just send in a new one. Simple as that. Don’t worry… No one will see who ya voted for, so use your character or personal blogs, alright? Ya got all that? GOOD! Let’s get started!”

Story of Eastern Wonderland and Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream old trials

The trial versions of the PC-98 games (excepting Highly Responsive to Prayers which didn’t have a trial) can still be downloaded today from the official website. I recently talked to xJeePx from the shrinemaiden forum, who pointed out that SoEW and PoDD say trial version 2, which means that, at some point, there was a trial version 1. 

According to the wiki, the full version of SoEW came out on the 15th of August, 1997 and the full version of PoDD came out on the 29th of December, 1997. As you can see, both “trial version 2″ from the picture above were released after the full version. This could indicate again that there was a trial version 1 somewhere in the past.

Unfortunately, there is no much information about these old trials, whether they have been downloadable at some point or not, if they were actually sold or not, or just available to play at some event. It’s still a mystery.
