so i’m making a doawk fan fic and posting it here because tumblr is (possibly) a nicer place than reddit

But i think the concept/theory of Greg having ASD (or the "sociopath Greg" theory for familiar) DOES potential to explore in fanworks (e.g. LLB, traditional fanfic, AU) if it got executed properly & respectfully rather just "haha so dark & edgy😈🤪" or straight-up excuse for making Greg a super evil edge lord.

However, with the fandom's treatment of it (which is super tone deaf and ableist, if i am honest), made it nearly impossible for it to happen.

No, the theory is absolutely not canon, nor do I believe it. But rather just me expressing my thoughts about it & its wasted potential.

This theory has caused a huge misconception & misinterpretation toward how the fandom views Greg as a character, which bothers me a lot since he's my favorite doawk character. Imo, the og interpretation of the theory kind of stems from ableist stereotypes of ASD & the one-dimensional/biases of the og theorist. Tbh, that why I don't like it so much.

But that's just my thoughts. Feel free to discuss if you want cuz I currently interested in this discussion.
