In Remembrance

On this day 113 years ago in 1911, one of the worst workplace disasters occurred since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.

Near the end of the work day a fire broke out, and within 18 minutes 146 of 500 workers had died. Exits were blocked, to keep the workers inside during the workday.

I had a phenomenal time making the poster for the #trianglefactoryfireproject #play but what was even more spectacular and awe-inspiring were the cast and crew for the play itself! It was a small theater with a small cast, however DO NOT let that fool you. They were nothing but powerful and commanded attention throughout the play. The amount of emotion and depth in such a little area was truly inspiring. It is true, it matters not about the tools, but the person who uses them. I am honored to play a small part in this and to be able to see such a wonderful performance.
