Hey Anon. Thanks for reaching out and asking for advice! I know that having Trich can be super hard at your age (trust me I’ve been there), but that is great that you were officially diagnosed, and awesome that you were brave enough to reach out and ask for help! Do you think you might be able to tell me a little bit more about your Trich ? Such as :Where you are pulling from (head, eyebrows, eyelashes, other areas)? When you pull (when you’re stressed, driving, reading, at the computer)? What you have already done to try and prevent the pulling (besides the tangle)?Do you pull your hair when it is wet, dry, or both? When you were diagnosed did you doctor/therapist say anything, recommend anything, or prescribe any medications to you? That would be a good place to start so we can begin trying to help you! I don’t know how you feel about hair pieces, wigs, or hats but I have a few sites that might be helpful for you to look at if you are interested in trying any one of those options out! I know that you feel like you are alone in your battle, but trust me you aren’t and we are all here to help you and talk with you if you need it. My blog alone has over 500 followers. That’s 500 people that are dealing with the same things that you are. There is also the TLC conference coming up in April. If you scroll down a little bit on my blog you can read about it, there will be over 500 people there as well that are all suffering from Trich and Derma. It might be worth while to look into attending! I joined a support group in my area, and I love it. It’s really awesome to be around people that understand me and can help me with my battle. Where are you located? I can definitely try to help you locate a support group if that is something that you would be interested in doing.
