athena shook her head, pressing her palms to her cheeks. here she was crying, yet again. they had gotten a letter that charles was hurt, and she had taken it a lot worse than carmen seemed to. she knew carmen felt something– she had to. “what are we supposed to do carmen? we don’t know where he is, what happened to him, if this is even real. what do we do?”
☂: our muses get caught in the rain outside without an umbrella
athena and carmen had found themselves outside the closest coffee shop. it was pouring out. both of them being cats, neither of them were happy about it. they had already been at the coffee shop for hours and they were planning on heading back to school. “what the fuck,” carmen mumbled, sticking a hand out but quickly pulling it back as a drop hit it. athena let out a sigh, asking “should we just go back inside?” carmen agreed, and the two headed back in, hoping the rain would stop in the next hour before the shop closed.
"That smirk is annoyingly hard to ignore." || "Shit, what did I do?" || "And I thought I could trust you."

"Annoyingly?” She asked innocently, said smirk never fading as she scrunched up her nose and shook her head, “Hardly. I know how hard it is for you to ignore-- why do you think I use it?”

"Nothing that can’t be fixed.” Frankie didn’t waste any time in dropping to the floor, careful to avoid the still spreading stain of red as she began to pluck shards of broken glass from the middle. “I know that I’m very distracting-” She joked, taking a moment to glance up at the other, smile in place, “But that’s no excuse for the wasting of top notch booze. Maybe try not to drop it, next time, hm?”
“And I thought I could trust you.”
"And you can. When have I ever given you a reason to doubt that?” The light tone she usually used when speaking to the other was gone. Though Frankie seemed stand-offish, it was obvious enough from her gaze alone that she was hurt-- solely by the idea that Carmen had, that she couldn’t trust her, “I have told you everything from day one. Anything which was relevant to you-- I could’ve kept my mouth shut about Drakkar, but I told you what he was trying to do. Wasn’t that enough? What more could you possible need to know you can trust me?”
