If you had your choice of prolonging a holiday passed it regular number of days which holiday would it be and why?

That is SUCH a fascinating question?! Thank you!

I was surprised even at myself how ready was I with the answer. HALLOWEEN hands down, without even question, which I would make into a monthly, maybe bimonthly thing (once in two months, to be clear) because I think that carnivalesque celebrations propagate creativity and empathy and just generally build character on a societal level, plus not to go like full Marx but let the kids raid the rich neighbourhoods for candy more than once a year LOL. 

Perhaps to shake it up a little, each carnivalesque holiday would come with its own slightly different tradition, and there would be fairs, costumes, contests, colorful processions, Lord of Misrule, you know, I would bring back the whole medieval shebang like tenfold.

But if that’s not allowed by the rules of your question, and I have to pick a holiday that I must extend by a few days continuously... weeeell... I’m gonna say we should bring back the twelve days of Christmas as a concept and the whole interval from Dec 24-Jan 6 should be just a whole ass holiday. Like give me a fucking break. I just barely made it through THE most stressful time of the year, probably still on the brink of a mental breakdown if not past it, and possibly still hungover! I think we should be given proper time to celebrate that we made it through another year. Like damn! Wake up sheeple!
