I thought I was going so much slower at the end. It was a good 5+ mile interval workout, though. 3 deer. No snakes, no bug bites. I almost got hit from behind by a bike. I was on the left. All I heard was the sound of rusty brakes. #latergram I raced the @rexwellnesscenters @fsseries Sprint Triathlon in Wakefield this morning. 250 swim, 10 mile bike ride and 2 mile run. What a great race experience all around. Crushed this race with some great friends from BMR and BGR including @rodney.shepard and @davanwattley It’s a great race for beginners like me. I’m a super slow swimmer, but that just gives me something to work on. Out of the pool and onto the bike course with fresh pavement was nice and fast but a little hilly. 2nd in age group on that. Then finished it off on my feet. I missed placing top 3 in my age group by one position. Yup 4th place and 2 minutes behind. Now, it’s time to actually start focusing on my training for the next marathon. Yup @runrdc will like be my next marathon. I gotta thank my #runfam and #trifam for support today!! @kyl_esthenics let me borrow his watch, the cheer squad got me out of that pool 🏊🏾. Yup the pool was a struggle due to a lack of training. Breathing was my main issue,... then I started thinking about that 9 foot drop off. I may have panicked, I may have doubted but I didn’t quit. I found out It’s humbling to struggle when everyone is watching. Once I was out of the pool,..
