PANTY AND STOCKING NEW CHARACTERS (I'm a little late...)

POLYESTER AND POLYURETHANE

The upcoming second season of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is set to premiere in July 2025 and will introduce two new characters: the angel brothers Polyester and Polyurethane. Polyester, the elder brother, is voiced by Junya Enoki, while the younger brother, Polyurethane, is voiced by Yūto Uemura.

"Polyester" is a type of synthetic material that is often used in the production of clothing and bed sheets.

"Polyurethane" is the name of the polymer class which spandex belongs to. Spandex is an elastic material used in tight clothing and certain types of condoms.

(They have a kpop look to them so I think its kinda funny that their based off of plastic...But I do think the pastic could stand for artificiality and how they may be pretending to be more holy than they actually are or something along those lines.)

Personal notes:

I CANT be the only one who noticed Polyester's bulge, its so out there and its even mentioned in his appearance section of the wiki.

Potential Roles in Season Two:

According to the Panty & Stocking fandom wiki, "For currently unknown reasons, Polyester and his brother, Polyurethane, were sent from Heaven to Daten City, possibly to torment Panty and Stocking."

The brothers may have been dispatched from Heaven to monitor or challenge Panty and Stocking, potentially serving as foils who highlight the sisters' flaws or test their resolve. Their smug demeanor in promotional materials supports this theory, implying a dynamic where they taunt the Anarchy sisters about their fallen status.

Introducing additional angels could create a competitive dynamic, where Polyester and Polyurethane represent the "model" angels, contrasting with Panty and Stocking's rebellious nature. This could underscore themes of redemption and the struggle between conformity and individuality within the celestial hierarchy.

Given the ongoing conflict with demons like Scanty and Kneesocks, it's plausible that Polyester and Polyurethane have been sent to assist in combating these threats. However, their methods and attitudes might clash with those of Panty and Stocking, leading to tension and eventual collaboration against a mutual enemy.
