“You there! Care to share your thoughts on the missing plant situation?”

One white ear twitches and swivels, listening.
A low sound, not possible for humans to catch wind of. A hum? No... no, that wasn't a hum. A buzzing? Yes, that seemed more accurate. That was a faint buzzing of some kind. Immediately the wolf snaps her head around in the direction of the noise, ears pricked up and hackles tense in case she needed to move fast.
"Rrrr...?"

For once, it seemed, he managed to run into the woman on purpose, even if he didn't really think he had too much time to stick around. Maybe it didn't matter that much; catching up could be quick. Quicker if he managed to stop getting himself into situations, but... Vash held up a bag of donuts. "I insist, because you're always giving me things." Appreciated, but he felt the generosity could be a little more balanced. "How've you been?"
Wesson was the first to note the presence of the familiar blonde. His yips and barks happy as can be to just pounce on his best friend's foot and wag that tail. So Adelha is already smiling to then openly chuckle at the offered gift. "Busy as ever. What with helping at churches and orphanages as I travel with Wesson and Aqua in tow. Never a dull moment when wrangling children for reading lessons or chores. I wondered if we would get to see you again."
Adelha sets the bag of doughnuts down onto her table at this corner shop to then give the blonde her full attention. Soon taking both of his hands in her gloved ones to weave their fingers together. A gentle squeeze given for her to give a hum of delight. "My eyes see with joy. An old greeting my family uses when reuniting with a beloved friend or family member. I've missed you, crimson bird. As has Wesson. Perhaps you will stay for a bit and give us time to visit. Wesson would gladly give you snuggles and face licks if you do stay."
From the table came a mew of question. Since Aqua had decided to clamber out of her carrier under the table to inspect the bag of doughnuts with keen interest. Touching a paw to the bag to then purr as she nibbles on one corner of the paper. So Adelha sighs to note with evident amusement, "Aqua. No no. You should not chew on paper or on doughnuts. Silly kitten. Those are for me to share with a handsome crimson bird."

He didn't immediately react to the voice that came his way, eyes still tracing all the fine details of starlight-blue... metal? Glass? It couldn't be glass, could it? There was no way it was glass, but he didn't know of any metals that were see-through like that. What else could it possibly be made out of?
Kytes finally managed to tear his gaze upward as the man continued to speak, at first an almost deceivingly perfect image of someone young and innocently curious, child-like and puppy dog eyed. The small hint of something off, just out of reach, managed to twist its way more clearly into his expression as he wrinkled his nose and squinted his eyes, soft features taking on an edge and scars along his face crinkling more visible.
It was his expressive eyes most of all that gave him away, intentions that he couldn't quite hide flickering through them, but also raw insult at what the man said to him, despite that it was said in the most disarming way anyone possibly could.
He would never steal an entire arm, just like that, in a place like this, no matter how valuable he knew it must be despite the claims. He was a thief, but he wasn't stupid. Never mind the fact that the prosthetic looked like it must have been heavy, and the large bag thrown over the man's other shoulder equally so, so a quick sizing up told him everything he was sure he needed to know.
Did he think the guy was any brighter than he'd assumed before? Fat no. But he had to be strong to be carrying all that extra weight around, and he wasn't going to tangle with that, no matter how much he wanted to think he at least might have him beat on intellect. In physical strength? It was most assuredly no contest; he knew he'd be the weaker one. He always was.
"Wha' s'i' made of?" He could play the deflection game too. He wasn't dumb enough to think he could haul off with an entire fake limb, but a wallet or pouch of coin was still a possibility if he played his cards right.
She has been away from the others for some time. At the moment the goddess bears a neutral expression as she carefully coaxes the sprout of a tree to grow from the land. All her time had to be devoted elsewhere, even if she would like to stay beside her husband.
There was work still left unfinished.
“So...hungry...” Evar groaned, tiredly walking into the desert town, “Need...food...” He falls forward into the sand just outside the gate. “Hungry...” he murmurs against the sand, a hand reaching forward but collapsing weakly.
“Guns are too bulky and impersonal. A blade? That is something you have to put your emotions behind. It’s easy to stare a target down with a gun, but to get in there and direct your strike at something vital where they have little chance of reacting? I’d say that’s a better way to fight...”
