my king,,, the love of my life,,, the one man i truly love,,, i could talk about him forever (and i will)

he hasn’t been in town as long as everyone else - he moved there from LA a few years before the story started, and everyone was really wary at first. they don’t get many people moving there, especially not people like him (heavily tattooed, scary looking, always wearing leather boots and a leather jacket) so the welcome he received. wasn’t warm, to say the least

he bought a bar in town after the original owner died, and although people were scared to go in at first, once word got out that it was actually a good place, and that crockett was actually a really nice guy, it flourished

it’s now The Place people go to drink, and he hosts events there a couple times a year

he has a four-year-old Alsatian called Sarge, who guards the bar and walks around begging for pets and treats from everyone

crockett met sarah at the bar a few months after it opened, and after an Incident that night, she quickly grew to trust him, and they became really close after that

he’s fiercely protective of sarah, and would absolutely die for her <3

also he grows weed behind the bar/his house (he lives in a lil apartment above the bar) and he often smokes with sarah

he is just. a really good guy in this au and i love him a lot. he’s scary looking, but you only have to talk to him once to know how kind he is

but also he won’t take anyone’s shit and he can and will kick people out of the bar if they’re even the slightest bit disrespectful. people come to his bar to have a good time, and he doesn’t want some assholes there ruining it for everyone else

anyway this is sarah’s backstory in the trinity beach au <3 i’m not going to go into Too much detail bc it’s a #secret but she’s walking down the beach one morning before she meets crockett for lunch and uh. something Very Bad happens to her :)

okay okay okay I know we've talked in DMs but like tell me more about the trinity beach au- what is it? what's crockett's role in everything? why is Ava there? whatever you can think of -🚑

okay so it’s set in a lil beach town an hour south of LA called Trinity Beach (obviously hdjhs)

Sarah’s an artist who’s lived there her whole life, and has a little house/studio which is pretty much On the beach (also she has a cat)

Crockett was born and raised in louisiana, moved to LA for college when he was 18, then a few years after he graduated he moved down to trinity beach and reopened the only bar in town after the old owner died. people didn’t really trust him at first, but there was nowhere else to go, and he’s a rlly nice guy, so it didn’t take long for them to warm to him. he’s also Sarah’s best friend, and has been for years (I have a Lot of thots about him and their relationship dhjhdj)

Connor and Will are married and they own a cafe/bakery. Connor went to school with Sarah, and he’s known her pretty much his whole life

Will’s mainly responsible for the food (although there are a couple things Connor makes really well), and Connor’s in charge of being hot and knowing everything that’s going on in the town (Will keeps telling him that’s not his official role)

Ava’s a journalist in new york (mainly focuses on travel) who’s doing a series of pieces on different small towns across the US, and one of them is trinity beach

she wants to get a feel for the town, so she goes to Connor and Will’s cafe and interviews a couple people

and then for dyke reasons, she decides she wants to interview Sarah bc she’s cute

Connor tells her she won’t have much luck bc she literally only speaks to Crockett, but Ava tries anyway bc sis is Determined and gay

Sarah, also gay, gives Ava a note with a little map she drew of how to get to her house from the cafe, and then she left

they spend a lot of time together while Ava’s there (and Sarah ends up talking to her, which Crockett is rlly surprised about when she tells him), and by the time Ava has to go back to new york, they’re both kinda whipped for each other

more shit happens but i dont wanna give away too much (but uh. things aren’t good for Crockett hjsjhs) and yeah !
