Boulder Loop: South Fork Lakes

Klamath National Forest. Down through the burn and up to a lake past some charismatic mini-fauna. Short day for the afternoon start.

Here's the first day (links to the rest are at the top of the post) of backpacking in the Trinity Alps on my own after doing the first week of trail work. There was a bit too much burn, crazy burn, surreal twice burned, scattered burn, a grand day (5th) of wonderful lakes and no burn, then back across all the burn. But even the burn has its moments.

This was a very short day, just getting across a canyon and up to a pair of lakes that are the source of the South Fork Scott River.
