Mark Spears did an insanely cool cover to Return of the Living Dead #1! Too bad he didn't do the interior art because it looks like something out of an early 2000s cartoon like Kim Possible or Invader Zim. And the story so far isn't anything too groundbreaking since it treads a few familiar beats from the first two RotLD films. But it's only issue one, and I'll continue buying it for Spears' covers.

You ever think about how the fact that in Plants Vs Zombies the Zombies crave brains probably implies that the Zombies were reanimated by Trioxin, given that only one fictional franchise actually has zombies that crave brains (Return of the Living Dead), and that's the one with Trioxin in it?

This makes double sense considering the zombies' show some dim degree of sentience and the capability to move relatively quickly when they want to, much like RotLD's zombies, and their leader is a mad scientist; who easily could have been the discoverer thereof in the PVZ universe.

And, oh yeah, there's a little fact that they said Trioxin was originally developed as a herbicide in Return of the Living Dead...
