I just watched this beautiful Italian man play some of his best tennis all tournament, and now I have to witness the disasterclass that is Ferrari heading into a triple header to end the season.

“How’re we doing?” Thomas asked. It had been quite a while since he’d been out this far on the main line.
“Well, we just passed Maron, so we should be coming up on Cronk soon.” Duck replied.
“You holdin’ up okay?” Thomas asked, half joking. “You’re not getting tired, are you?”
“You never outgrew that snark Edward told me about.” Duck laughed. “I’m fine, Percy, how about you?”
“Hanging… in… there…” Percy wheezed.
“Are you sure?” We can stop if-”
“No no, I’m fine.”
“Ease off for a bit, Percy.” Duck advised. “Thomas and I can take it from here.”
“Can we?” Thomas interjected.
“Of course. I double-headed this same service with Stepney not even a year ago, and, save for struggling up Gordon’s Hill, we both-”
Duck got no further, as Percy’s driver laid on the whistle cord. The train came to a grinding halt halfway across the viaduct.
“What’s the matter?” Duck’s driver called out.
“We’ve got a lot of leaking steam in Percy’s cab.” Reported the driver. “We’re guessing one or both of the Fusible Plugs melted under the strain. We’re dealing with the fire now. Whatever it is, it’s probably not safe for him to carry on.”
“Well, do what you can to keep the brakes off. We can’t take him off ‘till the next station, and if we drop him off there, someone’ll have to come back for him. Besides, Thomas and Duck can carry him and pull the train, I’m sure.”
“I’m not…” Thomas muttered.
