Are you ready for some baseball sorcery? Good, because what you’re about to see is straight-up, mind-blowing baseball sorcery. There’s no other way to describe it.

During Thursday night’s game between the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s and El Paso Chihuahuas, the following happened:

We see balls straddle the foul line and curve fair or foul all the time. But this is something else entirely. That ball first lands at least five feet in the foul territory before the backspin brings it all the way back into fair territory. (The rule, btw, is that a ball can move between fair and foul territory until someone touches it or it passes first base)
Everybody involved just seemed to assume it would stay foul and didn’t even bother — either to grab it or run it out. Hope you’ve learned your lesson here. Baseball sorcery ain’t no joke.
