I want to travel so much that I don't have to go out and buy a new wardrobe every time I go somewhere.
That being said, I'm a pair of shoes and a belt away from being ready to go to New York on Saturday.
One week from tonight, I'll be scrambling to do all the shit in New York City that I didn't get done the first day and a half.
Kinda sad.
Not as sad as the following Monday when I get back in the office.
Travel times are coming up...
New York City - August
Chicago - Possibly late October
I'm looking to branch out of my old standbys. Any of you guys who live in, or have visited, New York City or Chicago, have any ideas for places to visit of interest to nerdy ladies into the arts, books and food?
Vacation Time!
I grew up in a shitty little town that wasn't even the *thriving metropolis* that is Beaumont, TX. Later today (it's almost 3 a.m.!), I'm driving there to go see Morrissey. It's absolutely crazy that he is doing a show there.
So, I was looking for things to do in Beaumont on my own. Here is what I came up with:
1. Check in to hotel.
2. Morrissey.
3. Go back to hotel, watch TV and play on internet.
4. Go to sleep.
5. Wake up & eat hotel breakfast.
6. Drive back home.
There is nothing to do in Beaumont!
2013 was *the* best. I got to see Bob & David do some sketches in front of my face, then I met Bob. Life complete. But now, 2014 is really stepping it up. Tickets to see Kids in the Hall in Dallas for the 2nd time bought. Conan's coming to Dallas, and I will be on top of that (3rd time). Then, Morrissey is going on tour, and going to shitty ol' Beaumont, so I'll be on that, too. Then, if passes ever go on sale, Comic Con in SD. Then, God willing, Hedwig on Broadway. I'm p-retty excited about 2014. And giving this year all of the moneys!
