I know we talk how all Mikaelsons has the best chemistry with each other, but let's face reality, they were the incestuous siblings. Like, it was there. They even had a kiss that was cut out of the episode.

Invited by nobody, I will say my piece concerning the relationship between Aurora and Tristan and the way Legacies chose to portray it because frankly the last episode sickened me and robbed me of a lot of the enjoyment I used to have in this account.
Remember how the TVD universe began with Damon reminding Stefan how he promised him an eternity of misery? Because certain writers seem awfully forgetful.
Complicated relationships between sibling are a staple in these shows. Shall we make a quick recap?
Stefan & Damon: Spent half of the their running time trying to find a way to get along with each other. They considered and plotted murdering the other more than once during the first seasons. Betrayed the other. Knowingly seek to hurt the other. Their sibling dynamic and progression are still the core of their show.
Klaus: HE KEPT HIS SIBLINGS TRAPPED IN COFFINS FOR DECADES AND CENTURIES. He murders countless loved ones of his siblings. He is both psychically and emotionally abusive to them during the course of the series. He needed his own show focused on him to address the many, many issues in his relationships. If I'm not misremembering, he got a funeral the other day celebrating how amazing he was concerning family.
Elijah: He was all about family and we still met him planning to murder his brother.
Finn: Schemed to murder all of his siblings several times. Still died with a speech on how valuable the bond of blood was.
Kol and Rebekah: Sure. Their will plot against their siblings here and there.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. These are complicated relationships in between immortals and contemplating their twists and turns is obviously part of the fun. But I would be delighted to know why they decided that Aurora and Tristan played by an entirely different ruleset.
Because the thing is? I can easily make a case arguing that for all their flaws, they are infinitely more healthy than all of the above.
I dare you to find a singular recorded second that shows Tristan wishing to cause the slightest psychical or emotional harm upon his sister. You can't. It doesn't exist. Among this parade of sadistic broken necks, vengeful hurtful words and murdering attempts? Tristan never wishes the briefest ill upon her.
Yes. He is codependent as all hell. He can be protective to the point of obsession. And also? You literally cannot argue that he doesn't love his sister to the moon and back.
Tristan is most definitively full of conventionally villainous traits. But if anything, these lessen to the point of disappearance when Aurora appears. His portrayal is of nothing but someone unflinchingly devoted to her.
What was it that Tristan did during his last moments on the show? Did he try to convince Aurora to take revenge in his name? Did he try to ensure that she would still seek him no matter what? Or did he try to play off the fact that he was drowning to make sure she could hear that he loves her one final time?
If you can't tell, I'm the tiniest bit annoyed at the decision of alluding to him as someone openly playing with Aurora as if she were his toy.
Was Tristan manipulative, Machiavellian, draconian and outright ruthless? Yes. Undoubtedly.
Was his cruelty extended to his sister? No. Never.
Go to hell, Legacies.
That’s how Wanda should have been after Pietro died.
Still, I would die tomorrow knowing I spent a handful of breathless moments with you, than live a lifetime of ordinary breathing.
Tristan to Aurora
La vida de Tristán de Martel.
OK but now I suddenly have this idea in my head!! The route the writers were too cowardly to go:
WHAT IF Elijah and Tristan were together at the same time Klaus and Aurora were
so the Aurora x Elijah rivalry stems from the fact that they were both dating each other's brother
While they were also both trying to date their own brother
The ultimate soap of Klaurora x Tristora x Klelijah x Tristelijah love square thingy
