Apple’s new ‘conversation awareness’ feature on the AirPods (where it lowers the volume if you start speaking out loud because it assumes you’re talking to someone) severely underestimates how often I talk to myself.

Some home screen updates.

I removed my banking apps, and the Apple Support app from the home screen and replaced them with FaceTime, Apollo, and Discord, I also reorganized some of the widget stacks on the first app page and added some shortcuts I use regularly.

All three of the widget stacks have at least 7 widgets in them that have useful info, and the section above the large widget on the second app page is a two line app suggestion section that surfaces which apps it thinks I might want to use at the moment.

Also, isn’t it crazy that I basically need to post a video to explain how my home screen works 😂

Ugggh. I might actually end up getting a laptop.

:/ I’d prefer to replace my desktop with another desktop but there isn’t one that I particularly like right now, and my current computer is no longer getting software updates.

Not to mention they said it’d cost me 500 to upgrade my phone. Maybe I’ll do that after my birthday.

Such a pain.

I’m so tempted to install the iPadOS beta on my iPad. The announcement is next week so the software has gotta be basically done. I just wanna play with it… but also at the very least i need my iPad working with no issues at least until i can get my phone fixed. Gotta wait for the screen to come in 😭

Not as exciting as some Home Screens, but I like it. Three pages, no folders, all three of the obvious widgets are stacks, and above the widget on the third page is two rows of app suggestions, which is why some apps repeat there.

     A Side by Side page comparison between the xkit-mobile app and the tumblr app. 

The five sections you get in the official Tumblr app are Dashboard, search, post, account, and activity.

By comparison, on the Xkit app you get Dashboard, inbox, post, activity, and im going to call that last section “other”

     In some respects, the tumblr app is better. The interface is cleaner, you can post photosets, and you can search tags on someone’s blog for instance, but with the Xkit app you have acces to some of the features that have made Xkit famous like Safe Dash, Blacklist, Replying to replies, and auto tagging, along with a range of other handy features, 

     Not to mention if you use XCloud, some of the things you have set up on your computer will carry over. 

     All in all, i think the Tumblr app, for all its weakness is the better looking of the two apps, Although another feature of xkit is that you can change the color (I made mine black so I can tell the two apart, as i normally run a different blog in each one) But for some people, the functionality of xkit will trump that easily.

     The official Tumblr app is available on the App Store, Google Play, and however you download apps for Windows Phone too for free.

     The xkit-mobile app as far as I know is only available on the App store for $1.99 because xkit is not owned by a giant company, and good developers deserve to get paid for their work.

The thing for me is, if I got a gold iPhone I would never want to put it in a case. I would want everyone to be able to see it. Prior to to the announcement of the gold, I was planning to get a black iPhone this time around. I've had a white iPhone for two years now, was time for a little something different, you know? Honestly, if they had made a black and gold model it would have been perfect.
