This is Trokk! He researches the Mists! He’s Trezzi’s father and he’s a Good Man™. When Trezzi ran into the Mists through his experimental Mist portal (and it exploded) he rebuilt it and ran in after her. It took some years but he finally found her, and the two had some adventures in the Mists for a few years before they finally made it back out into Tyria where he continues his Mist research.
