💜- top 3 favorite lines

Gunmar wouldn’t care about music and pottery and five-year-old half-trolls who cried because they weren’t weapons, no matter how much anyone said they were.

From The Doctor, the Changeling, and their Super-Soldier Son, this really helps to sum up Nomura’s character: she’s selfish. She doesn’t care about humanity, especially not as a whole, but she does care about art and J-1M. And she won’t let anyone hurt Jim, not anymore. (And, like, she might kill for art as well, but J-1M is > art, and eventually Barbara is also > art)

The plaque indicated that everything Jim had ever known was a well-constructed lie, now crumbling away like brittle stone.

I remember being proud of this metaphor from Supplanter.

While Toby and Jim still had the same eyes, Claire's were that same black-and-purple that Toby would see in nightmares where Claire hadn't survived the portal.

Normally I just give Claire Shadow Staff-related trauma, but in And We Go, Hand in Four-Fingered Hand I decided to add in the idea that Toby and Jim also have some trauma from the ultimate portal. This is either romantic (since Jlaireby) or me torturing them, and I’m not entirely sure which. Maybe it’s both.

The Shadows Inside Me I may have gone onto my AO3 and then sorted by comments, then picked the one with the lowest that I still think people should have liked based solely on the tropes involved

I remember a while back someone thought up the idea where Claire become the Trollhunter. Now I am wondering what she would look like if she became a half-troll as well.

Look at all this slop you made me do

I’d give her the floppy ears, 100%. And a tail. Probably. And I think their “hair” is more like fur? I think? Jimbo’s looks like it, anyway, so I think Claire might find it easier to tie in a pony.
