I Can Marley Understand Ju
I’ve always loved Trolls. I think the first character I ever made in WoW was a Troll priest. Something about the big hair and the tribal aesthetic is just so appealing and exciting. It was the sort of thing that told me “Hey, wow, this Warcraft thing isn’t ‘just another fantasy game’, there is some style here.”
If you play a Troll on a roleplay server, however, you can quickly run into a problem where people don’t understand how accents work. Sometimes players will not only force incorrect spelling to emphasize an accent, but they’ll also fail to understand that when speaking in one’s native language you don’t have an accent. Trolls, Draenei, and Dwarves are all guilty of this and you know better, mon. Go talk to any NPC and see how they write the dialogue. Dey might be playin’ with syntax a bit, but ne’er stray too far from dah voodoo.
Also, I should do this more often. Here’s all the ways you can join in on the Tauren It Up family:
I do have a twitter. I try very hard to only post jokes and not get political.
I do have an instant graham. I made a new year’s resolution to draw daily and some of my doodles are worth looking at. Here you’ll find some design process, silly sketches, and once in a while you can see something actually good.
And of course, join us on Discord. Some fun folks hang out. If you need a friend to help you through that Heroes of the Storm quest or just chat, you’ll find it here.
