She asked for a art of Jaune from Spooky Month( I'm not part of the fandom anymore but whenever make her happy it's making me happy. Also, you got the reference? Iykyk!)

I'm already not normal about Dickory, much less about @danizinha-gameplays 's art...so you can imagine how I'm fuming at the mouth at this( in a positive way, ofc!)

It's just soo peak bro, She literally heard Yodel Beat on loop to make this masterpiece , I literally could not love her more 😭💗💗💗 love you sis!

also we made a little HC that probably Hickory was the one to gift Dickory the music-thingy, Dickory insisted that he would unfortunately not use because he prefers yodel from vinyls or Live, but he ended up using it on private anyways — Can't let the posture down, LOL!

That took me TOO LONG for my own sake bro( and I didn't even liked the result that much, damn💔)

As you may notice, I'm being very much experimental on this comic LOL, yet, I think this is far as I'll go on detail honestly 💔 I'll probably try a more simple format for the next parts just to be more productive ( I strongly dislike coloring & doing bgs... So we gonna figure out this along the way XD)

I'll take advantage that the scene is already well seated & focus more on the characters than the overalls.

Yet, ngl I think it was worth the effort! Got me really out of my comfort zone LOL!

I dunno them personally but I love their art, bro. I feel like a little kid glazing a superhero lowk /gen /lh)

I think it's the time I start to ramble about Hcs about the Yodelers brothers, well, better make it a series!( So I don't go insane keeping it to myself LOL)

Also I apologize for my shitty English on advance, it's not my first language, whatsover, ironic enough—

[Languages]

I have this peculiar HC, and it's quite implied on my comics, about how Hickory & Dickory mix German & English while speaking

I like to believe that is because of many reasons, one being the most obvious one: communication with other trolls kind

But I also really want to believe that while Dickory was born & raised on Austrian-Germanic culture & language, Hickory was awfully mixed between those two( adding also the infamous HC that they lost their parents quite young & Dickory had to raise Hickory by himself, being the older brother meaning Dickory had the chance to absorb more of the culture than Hickory), and as a person myself who does not have English as a native language & learning now can hear & write in English pretty mediocre — I imagine it's quite the stroke for Hickory to express himself in both languages even more so( mainly in German, & I guess this kinda opens for a lot more of angst about Dickory's obsession with keeping yodeling alive LOL)

Hickory knows how to mimic a country English accent pretty darn fine, even in "panicking" moments( also I truly believe he just gets a LOT on character sometimes LOL), so I want to believe that he knows German but English ends up as the default for him most of the time, he still has a natural German accent though, and of course he could easily be fluent on both BUT I like to give characters strugles m'kay?!?! ( Hickory it's too damn "perfect" already I gonna give this fellow flaws!!!! /Hj /lh /silly) Also only people who speak more than two languages know how effed up is when your brain mixes the two & your forget a word in one languages or simply don't have a exact translation to a word in the other one

Dickory on the other hand SUCKS at English really badly, ( let me project for a moment:) he probably understands English just fine but sucks at being fluent on it when it comes to speaking ( he has quite the heavy accent!), even moreso he just feels more comfortable speaking german

SO, I imagine that Hickory tries to speak in German but it's easily drawn to speak English even if only with Dickory because he can mostly express himself better this way( if you're bilingual ykyk), & this fricks Dickory up because even if he know he can keep talking in German just fine, it's just quite awkward for him to not also start speaking English when Hickory starts to

He's just, slightly internally pissed & quite frustrated( partly at himself) bc maybe he thinks he just not teached Hickory well enough(?) on german & that's why he's more prone to speak a language from another culture than theirs.

Jus' Dickory being paranoic bc I'm paranoic and I'm projecting the hell out in this character, bro 🥲🥲🥲🫠🫠🫠
