Silly Tron headcanons because I'm bored❗❗❗

Alan:

•Caffeine addict, Bro needs to start the day with at least 3 cups of coffee

•Tends to over-work himself (Lora makes sure he gets his 8 hours of sleep)

•He sings softly and hums while working to concentrate (actually a really good singer tho doesn't sing often)

Lora:

•Quite disorganized with everything that is not her job,tends to leave her shoes and clothes all over her house (Alan often stumbles upon them LOL)

•Loves watching tv shows. Her favorites are knight rider, sledge hammer and the OG Star trek (Has all the OG series episodes in VHS)

•used to be really pro at video games but lost practice. she still can beat Flynn ass tho

Flynn:

•Reads a lot, especially non fiction. like Philosophical essays or cientific articules, but sometimes likes to read Sci-fi

•Has the highest scores in all the games on his arcade and always uses the same nickname so everyone knows whos the best(Grown ass man 😂🫵)

•spends most of his free time with Sam playing games or teaching him basic programming when he got old enough to understand (Very proud that his son seems to be very talented at such young age)

Tron:

•Not very social but likes to hangout in the Grid with Yori and her friends(that are also his friend by default lol)

•Also over-works like Alan and used to be very much like him but since he met Flynn many of his body language and expresions have changed to be more like Flynn's.(yes this is Kevron propaganda ilovethem 😈😈)

•It's very dedicated to his job but sometimes partipates in the games just for funsies and is still very good at it(The games are no longer deadly obviously)

Some Sirens on break

Going more off my Siren HC from before, these 3 have different jobs.

1st from the left, she's a companion. Usually she helps programs destress by clearing unneeded data and improving their sleep cycles. The capette she's wearing is a design by one of her other friends. She likes being tall, so she wears the classic siren heels.

2nd, she's the bartender. Bartenders usually have additional clothes, if any energy spills, you don't want that directly on your circuits. She regulates energy intake for programs. If you're running low, she'll make something just a bit stronger, or weaker if you don't need much. She's not on break, but it's a slow day, so who cares if she talks with her friends. She needs to be standing all day, but she likes a little heel, so she chose wedges.

3rd, she's sorta cleaning crew, like a plumber. All aqueducts and energy stores need care and cleaning, and that's her job. She goes out and fixes minor problems, and keeps everything efficient. She needs to be steady, so no heels for her. Her hands and neck have additional protection. It's not an unsafe job, but it isn't easy either.

Sirens tend to have less lightlines that are more continuous than other programs. Usually they connect from the mid torso down to their feet, but there are many variations and exceptions.

Tron 1982 HC: Alan and Kevin used to date. Lora does not know. Alan doesn’t want her to know. Kevin thinks it would be very funny if she knew so he keeps dropping hints.

If the vehicle isn’t a motorcycle, Kevin Flynn can’t drive it. At all. This fact, of course, doesn’t deter him from trying to fly a whole Recognizer when the occasion demands, but he is spectacularly bad at it.

Training new security programs before and after

So, Early Tron, He's just happy. It's safe, and he's fulfilling his purpose, protecting The Grid. The new moniters rezz in, sure they have all the knowledge, the moves, but they don't know anything yet, they don't know HOW to fight. So they train, and the first thing he does, is let them all try to beat him. They all lose of course.

He laughs, and teaches them how to fight. They run through senario after senario, and sometimes he shows off a little. A flip there, a jump here, but the new moniters? They eat it up, they want to do the same, protect, fight, and show off. He's happy to be their model.

Later Tron is more cautious. He's not the only one in charge of security anymore, and he can't tell which ones will get "transferred" to Clu. He teaches the necessities, and the few who stand out get brought into his squads quickly and viciously. He can't keep them all safe, but he tried his best.

Uprising Tron only trains Beck. All his past monitors are derezzed or rectified. He hates how weak he feels, he can't even train Beck one on one, relying on simulation after simulation. He's proud, and Beck learns so quickly, but if Tron could just train him like he used to, it would go faster. Beck wouldn't just survive each encounter, he could win. But Tron is crumbling to his scars, and Beck can't devote all his time to being the Renegade. They make do with half measures and patches.

Rinzler doesn't train anyone, not really. Some other program teaches the rectified to fight, and Clu sends them to him. He doesn't really fight, shows off for Clu, but always, about half are derezzed. The survivors move on, are sent out, the rest are swept off the platform. He doesn't care, not really. Just another fight, another game to play. He always tries to stay and watch the voxels fall into the pits as the janitors clean. Sometimes Clu doesn't let him.

For fun, Clu will make him fight old squad members. Rinzler doesn't know who they are, neither do they. But he figures it out quickly, they move too similarly to him. Clu stops the fight before they get derezzed, usually.

Tronzler hates training. He knows too much, is too fast and too deadly. Easy for him is death to another. He only fights the best, they barely survive. If he could never train them, he would, but The Grid needs it's protection, and he will fulfill his purpose.

A programs height depends on how long and complex their code is. Being shorter doesn't mean you aren't complex, you might just be more efficient.

Implications? Why yes, here's a few

Tron is tall as hell. He has got some complex code and I think he continuously built it as different threats appeared. Learning security program, it makes sense. Dude won't stop growing, it's just gradual enough no one notices. At first.

Clu is also tall for the same reason. He starts the same as Flynn, they're meant to look alike after all. But as the grid grows so does Clu, and eventually Flynn looks at him and goes:

"Did you get taller man?"

"Yes, a program's height is based on the complexity and length of their code. As the Grid changes, I must change with it."

"No way man! That's how that works???"

Also is why Rinzler is shorter. I am pretty sure Clu deleted or changes some things, and Rinzler's height changed accordingly :D

This is also why most rectified programs look so similar in build. Their code is all very similar, so they all look more alike than your average program.

And, Isos are now tall. It's a side effect of their complex code, and contributed to people's distrust of them. Their proportions are a little different too. Programs were not appreciative of this additional difference. Of course, there's exceptions and ways to get around these things, but it's not easy.

just a thought abt Rinzler's fighting style and flips

No one needs to do that many flips and spins and kicks. It's extra and inefficient and uneeded. Showmanship is one thing, but Rinzler seems to always find some extra spin or jump he can do. It's a waste of energy, and I wonder if that's some sort of protest in it's own way. Wasting energy, taking more time, even if it's very little. Under all that recoding, maybe Tron is fighting to sabatoge at every turn, even if it's taking one more step than needed.

When he needed to be, Tron's fighting style was direct and quick. He went for it and didn't stop until the deed was done. Even verbally, in Uprising, he finds other programs vulnerabilites and exploits them when needed (Lux, Beck, Cyrus). Sometimes it's to help, sometimes it's to hurt, but it's a skill he has.

Rinzler is flashy, showy, and takes his time. He's doing the same thing, finding vulnerabilities, but instead of aiming for them, Rinzler avoids them. Goes for non lethal shots to drag out the game, flips when he doesn't need to, and is only direct when there's no way around it.

Those small pieces, bits of control he took back, cycle after cycle after cycle until it became the new norm, maybe those pieces are what he was fighting for. Fighting against himself to save every piece he could, and waiting until the day there was a crack.

Maybe Tron was exploiting his own vulnerabilities and nailed the lid on the coffin with a short line (that he knew Clu would say)

HC Alan Bradley keeps a pocket sized dictionary in his pocket so he can correct(annoy) people he doesn't like

and If he doesn't like you, he will be pedantic as possible, and unfortunately, always right

Lora quizzes him to try and find other words and widely used definitions that aren't in the dictionary. Clipped to the back are a bunch of folded papers that contain every addition Lora found. Sometimes he'll take them out and read them.
