TheFUZZ has been invited to yarnbomb the sign for an art exhibit (Dirt), and if you’d like to contribute, we’re making and collecting pieces that evoke soil components, such as diatoms, pollen, and fungi. The color scheme is earthy - browns, grays, perhaps a bit of ochre - and we’re using all kinds of fibers. We’re looking to have a mix of sizes and textures. We’re also looking for volunteers to help with pre-assembly and installation (laying out pieces, connecting them together).
Installation and opening reception Sept. 17, 2014, at the Honolulu Museum of Art School, 5:30 - 7:00 pm (we may start installation sooner).
We’ve got some ideas in this list of free patterns, but you are not limited to this list. Let your imagination go wild!
