she’s FAILING body && mind in front of him, and she fucking HATES IT. she must look so WEAK, so B R O K E N —– she has been strong for so long; though here she is, fingers grasping for ANY PART of him before she collapses to the floor.
❝jonathan —– i can hardly BREATHE!! ❞
she’ll gasp, her voice RAW, though despite it’s urgency there’s unmistakeable SLEEP still lingering in her tone.
these N I G H T M A R E S are driving her INSANE.
Jonathan’s heart was hammering in his chest when Nancy started to hyperventilate. He was up in an instant and pulling her into his arms, wrapping them around her body and hugging her tight. He’d read somewhere that when someone was having a panic attack, applying a tight pressure, like a hug, released some kind of chemical to the brain to get the person having the attack to calm down. So he held her, “You’re alright, I’ve got you,” he said again as he started to rock back and forth slowly. He ignored the pain as her fingers catch his skin every once in a while and pull, more than likely leaving a bruise. But he didn’t care. He kissed the side of her temple, “Breathe like me, okay?” he asked as he pulled in a deep breath and let it out slowly, and then breathed in again, and let it out. “Like me..”
