Troubleshoots for Christmas In July Fest!!
Firstly, check out the prompts here
When you know what prompt you want, fill out this sign up form (You DO NOT need to sign up on AO3, you only have to claim the prompt on AO3).
Return to AO3, go to the prompts page and click the ‘claim’ button on the prompt you want.
AAARRGGHHH!!! I clicked on the wrong claim! Or I can’t do it anymore!! What do I do?
Easy peasy, you don’t need to contact us, all you need to do is:
Go to your AO3 Dashboard.
Click on the ‘claims’ button.
Then scroll to the prompt you wish to drop and select ‘Drop Claim’.
A box will pop up asking if you are sure you want to drop the claim. Select "OK". You will be dropped from the claim, and it will no longer appear in your Claims list upon refresh.
Please note: If you have dropped a claim you've already fulfilled, the work will remain in the collection, but all other links between the work and the prompt will be removed.
Ok, I’ve finished my creation, how do I post it?
Go to your AO3 Dashboard.
Go to the “Claims” section.
Find the claim you’ve filled and select “fulfill.”
Fill in the AO3 new fic submission form same as always - with a couple differences! make sure the claim you’re filling is checked it will automatically/default to submitting your work to the ‘ATimelessChristmasInJuly2023’
Wait for mod to reveal the collection! Your creation won’t show up until we do. Note that the challenge is set in UTC time zone.

I have been where you are AO3 creator, your creation has not disappeared. It is somewhat easy to find…
Click on ‘Edit Works’, look for your fic title.
Click on your creation’s title, it will take you to it! And you can edit as normal.
Ok, so what if I post my work to the collection early, it will show up on AO3 not as a new fic. It will be buried under all the other new fics in the tags page.
Very true, we recommend when the Collection is revealed (or close to the date), you go to your work and change the publishing date. That way, your fic will appear with any fics published on that date.
To change the publishing date on your work:
Select the "Edit" button on an existing work, or go to the "Post" menu at the top of the page and select "New Work".
In the Associations section of the New Work or Edit Work pages, select "Set a different publication date".
Select the day, month, and year of publication. Please note can't set the value to a date beyond the current date in the UTC time zone of AO3.
