I personally think people are confused on (gender) dysphoria in the trans community.
Every trans person has it. Even trans people that say they don’t — they just weren’t given the right definition, and that’s okay!
Dysphoria is simply being unable to connect with the sex that you were born as. That’s it. That’s being trans.
For some people, it is influenced by depression and depression pushes self-hatred. It’s unfortunate, but it’s some people — it’s not every trans person. It is different from individual to individual, every trans person has a different experience. A different trans person might be confident in themselves and does not face depression — or, even the same trans person that has suffered from years of depression may have found a community that loves them and helps support them on their journey.
Every person is different — individual and unique.
And that’s okay.
ever considered that maybe a lot of nonbinary people defy gender roles as a result of their gender, rather than their gender being a result of defying gender roles? just a thought.
