If he had been asked Optimus probably would have guessed something on the lines of a break due to stress, being over worked,   injury perhaps even.

“Misconduct?” Blue optics widened with surprise. That was probably the last reason he would expect.

Optimus was quiet for a while, trying to filter himself and keep from blurring out questions. From the look on his face Jazz wasn’t pleased with this and likely wouldn’t want to be interrogated about it so suddenly.  Still, there was one thing he had to be sure of.

“This isn’t about the report a few months ago, with Smokescreen is it?”

“Nah, it’s not related.” Not so far as Jazz knows, and he’d be surprised to find any connection between the two incidents.

In any case, he’s grateful that Optimus seems to be holding back his questions. He doesn’t want to talk about it, and doesn’t think it would be a very productive conversation even if he did.

“Prowl’s probably got a report about it for you,” he says, to forestall being asked any more, “an’ I already gave him my statement. Better you get the unbiased facts.”

For a few silent moments Optimus was about be convinced the other was in fact recharging already, but soon he heard the shuffle of him getting up to open to the door. Once it did he glanced down at the minibot and tried to offer a warm look.

“Not long ago, about half an hour maybe. I was surprised not to see you, you dont usually turn in so early. Long day?”

It was unusual for Bumblebee not to meet Optimus when he returned to base, whether he was away an hour or a week. But, lately, Bumblebee had been avoiding unnecessary interactions with any Autobot.

“A real long day,” he agreed with a nod, “I’m sorry I wasn’t up when you got here. Did you need me for somethin’?”

“It’s hard not to be busy with everything that’s been going on.” That might sound like a complaint, but not for Prowl. He loves being busy. “Why do you ask, Prime?”

For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

Prime thinks Sideswipe’s doing the pranks when the majority of the time it’s @oreoship and Sides takes the blame because it makes Jazz happy. It is very wrong of both of them but neither care so it’s okay.

Sides just wants ‘dad’ hugs so he hangs around but never gets them because he cant ask.

He threw a datapad at Prime when Prime asked him to read it and come back and have a discussion about it. It was meant to be his punishment and a simple one at that. Stating he would never read the stupid thing and asking was useless he threw it. But sides chucked it at Prime hard enough to scuff his mask and Sides was temporarily brigged for it.

Sunstreaker is attracted to Prime so he always uses his best and nicest smelling polish. 

He’s a lot to handle and he knows it but he also knows Prime can ahndle him at his worst so he goes to prime then so he doesn’t hurt anyone by accident.

He’d grown to hate being brigged but he cant tell prime why he attacks sometimes and as such just accepts the punishment.

Oh, wow, today was a big day! Kup told the young mech that he was going to meet Optimus Prime today.

Optimus Prime. 

Hot Rod had spent the last cycle making sure he was cleaned up and presentable. He definitely didn’t want to look sloppy when meeting the Prime. Kup had told him how he should behave around the leader, but... of course... When Hot Rod saw him--

“Oh, wow, it’s so awesome to meet you!” 

Oh, Hot Rod would be face palming his impulsiveness right now if he could.

“...sir.”

Blaster, my friend. How are you?

Well. That’s a bit of internal screaming he’s trying not to show. His Optimus is quite dead, thank you. 

“…I’m good? What about you?”
