so
you may have noticed that jane speaks in an overly formal tone/something reminiscent of old english
while i'd originally based her speech patterns off of toriel for the fuck of it (and also bcs i read some classic lit), i finally came up with some good justification
jane doesn't have many people that are comfortable in her society because of her status as builderman's daughter, thus she avoids others to give them peace of mind
what she does have, however, that won't run away from her or are unnerved by her presence, are books and her family
jane likes to observe. when she was brought to his meetings as a child, she saw how builderman talked to his colleagues. she's eventually adopted his speech mannerisms into her own
because she doesn't want to intrude on the privacy of others, her vocabulary was also influenced by books. if she isn't practicing first aid skills or assisting in the aftermath of brickbattling matches, then she's reading the history of robloxia: the revised edition
ask her anything about roblox's past and she will give you one lengthy explanation with the side dish of ten unrelated trivia
i think her favourite book would be pride and prejudice (tho i havent read that one yet lawl) — because it delves into love and social standing (which are prevalant issues in her life)
i think jane would also be humanist at her core because she genuinely loves people. she loves her family, and she loves robloxians, even if 99% of them don't know her beyond a surface-level projection
this is why she actively devotes time into helping people. this is why the first thing she learned was how to take care of people
and should her efforts be hindered by the xploit, the one thing it will never corrupt is her humanity
