Summary:
Eleanor had seen her daughter's cruelty and complexity throughout the years. She wasn't even sure if Meera loved her own mother sometimes. Over two decades of reckoning with Meera's nature was probably causing Eleanor to have early gray hair. Her daughter seemed invincible.
Until she was horrifically killed by a monster Eleanor couldn't have even conjured in her nightmares.
Eleanor Abernathy reflects on her daughter's life while everyone else is fascinated with her death.
