Thoughts — Demyx's Identity

I still wonder about who Demyx really is. Aside from Luxord who may have a connection to Yozora (possibly the Verum Rex version of Cor Leonis), Demyx is the only Organization XIII member whose real identity hasn't been revealed or hinted at. There's some who thinks he may be a younger Master of Masters or at the very least has some connection to him. What’s led many to believe that is what’s written in the Character Files book. He recalls someone from his past, referring to them as “that may your heart be your guiding key guy". There are only two people who’d utter those words in the present (aside from the Guardians), and since one is "dead" and the other is a body snatching former co-worker (the irony lol), that "person" could be the Master of Masters.

More recently with the introduction of plot device #4080, there's a tiny handful who thinks he could be the True Dandelion. In which case, “that may your heart be your guiding key guy" could possibly be Luxu. Others think he’ll show up in KHDR (as a missing upperclassmen) or he’s a Verum Rex character. Either way, the fact that Demyx doesn’t have a real identity is something people should pay attention to. He may be important later on.

A lot of people have been speculating who the 'True Dandelion' is. Here's the thing — it's nobody as of right now (no pun intended). There aren't any clues to discern who the body belongs to. So, I'm going to tear apart some speculations here. Before I proceed, I want to point out that Luxu and 'rogue Darkness' are in RDBT — not DDBT. The scene likely takes place sometime before Luxu ventures off to save the Union Leaders. There are (were) six vacant pods in The Ark whereas in DDBT there are five because Maleficent took one and another was destroyed.

That said, let’s move on. That is NOT Ventus. Ventus is still in DDBT at that point. Just because Xehanort wrapped him in the same white cloth in BBS doesn’t mean that’s him. It’s also not Strelitzia. Her body faded away. She’s dead. She’s not coming back. It’s unfortunate but it is what it is. It’s not Skuld, Ephemer or the Player either – they’re still in DDBT too. And, I can’t believe this a thing, but isn't Sora or Kairi either. They haven't even been born yet.

The only character I can see possibly it being is Ava, but even there’s still isn’t anything to go on unless you count the KHX light novel. For those who haven’t read it, Ava is the only one left in the Keyblade Graveyard after the Keyblade War ends. The thing is, we don’t know if that’s canon so we can’t even use it as proof. ‘Darkness’ saying ‘Keyblade Masters’ (as if it were referring to more than one) could be a hint toward that being Ava but even then I don’t know. Trust me, I would LOVE it if Ava’s inside that cloth. I want it to be her. But that possibility rests on the KHX light novel being canon which is unlikely. The ‘True Dandelion’ plot device was just introduced. Wait for more info.
