Physiology related to the Sidereal Zodiac
5/15/2021 Moon is in Purva Ashadha Sagittarius opposing Mars in Ardra Gemini today. Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius, is 3rd from Moon in Dhanishtha Aquarius which is ruled by Mars (Dhanishtha is). Sun is with Purva Ashadha ruler, Venus in Bharani Aries. So what’s in store for today?
Pick your battles today wisely. Moon in Sagittarius give us a fighting spirit and opposite Mars can make us aggressive, blunt, defensive, and emotional about it which has the potential to create some chaos and can bring about suffering and arduousness. Sagittarius wants to win the battle, create an impact, and let’s out its battle cry. At its worst, being ruled by Jupiter, it feels it knows best and what is right, it can be preachy, and can dig its heels in stubbornly and even competitively to prove it. The Ashadhas are battleground Nakshatras. Is it really necessary to be right and win today? Examine your need for this and examine how it causes suffering when you keep fanning the flames of your own aggressiveness.
Sun and Venus are 5th from the Moon in Aries. Channel this passionate energy into something creative today or into physical activity. Go lift weights in the gym or go hiking or bike riding, or do something that requires breaking through an obstacle so you can burn off that excess fire.
Inspire others today as opposed to trying to push your own agenda. Fan their flames instead of burning them with them. It’s an ambitious and energetic day. 🔥
4/27/2021 Moon moves early this afternoon into Vishakha Libra, and the ruler of Libra, Venus, is in the 7th house in Bharani Aries (which is also ruled by Venus), sitting with Mercury and the Sun. The focus is still on independence, getting what we want, and relationships today.
Moon in Swati Libra this morning continues to bring a focus to our feeling of independence. We feel that our happiness is dependent upon our sense of freedom and so we may find ourselves branching off in a new direction this afternoon and making a sudden change in order to bring ourselves back into balance and harmony. Or others may make a change that we aren’t comfortable with. And yet while Swati wants independence it still very much needs to be in relationship with others and needs to guard against needing those relationships to be on its terms.
Today is even more focused on us feeling like we need to get what we want and need, especially from others. Vishakha is the most ambitious and goal oriented Nakshatra in the zodiac. It’s focus is on attainment, and it’s deeply devoted to what it wants. In Libra it wants pleasure, attention, romance, fairness, and peace in relationship. We want things to be beautiful and rosey and we seek to cultivate positive, sustainable relationships.
We also have incredibly high standards here and have to be careful about being too critical of others. People are only human afterall, and to demand that anyone show up in the way we need them to be so that we can get what we want is never the way to go. Our desire for these things can cause stress. We may feel we aren’t able to communicate what we need to say without difficulty, with Ketu S. Node of the Moon in the 2nd house from the Moon and Mars in Ardra Gemini, making communication challenging.
We are very goal-focused today, whether that be in business relationships or personal relationships. I encourage all of us to think about where our intense desire to get a certain thing/outcome is coming from. If we want freedom or we want things to be certain way with others, what is the root of that deep desire? What is being triggered inside of us that makes us feel such a reaction?
These can be some challenging transits until the next New Moon, but they’re mostly self-created. My advice? Practice surrendering in the moment. This is the path less traveled. Take care of yourself and your own needs. Nurture yourself. Relax in the face of others and in the face of your own desires. This need to get something to show up a certain way in relationship to others and the co-existing need for freedom...realize it’s all an opportunity to practice letting go of what doesn’t serve us. Be flexible and adaptable. Break free from your own inner bonds.
