Trukk
The Ork Trukk has been getting on in the years for a while, and even though it's not quite as ancient as some (recently updated) Eldar kits, it's pushing twenty at this point. Check the sprue if you don't believe me, it's stamped 2007. So, a bit of a refresh isn't unwarranted.
And the new Trukk looks spectacular. There's still a great deal of the 2007 design present in it so it wouldn't look at all out-of-place alongside an existing collection - especially if you have the old Forge World halftrack and closed cab conversion kits - but with fat pipes and lifted.
The new Mek and additional bits for the Warboss are also pretty sharp. The Mek, especially, is another great update of a classic figure, the 2008 Big Mek with Bosspole.
And they're getting the first Codex out the gate for XI Edition! It's a good time to be green.

It's wip wednesday! Spent some time working on my trukk kitbash:
Repainted my looted truck!
This once lived inside my head
Finally got a hair up my arse to finish the trukk for the Boyz
[Image ID: nine photos of painted miniatures of Warhammer 40K orks. In all cases, the primary color is blue, with purple, steel, and yellow accents. Creatures have green skin, and a red-painted left foot, boot, or tread. The first three photos are all of goblin mechs, with a barrel-shaped body, two legs, exhaust pipes on back, and two arms with mounted weapons. There are picture-in-picture detail shots of the weapons. The first mech has an Imperium-pattern lascannon with a skull mounted on it and a chainsaw claw with googly eyes. The second mech has a rocket launcher and two blue-glowing golden Necron Gauss Blasters connected to an Imperium power pack and an explosive tank. The third mech has a drill, and a flamethrower with bayonet attachment. It also has a chin-mounted cattle prod. The fourth through sixth photos are all various angles of a scratch-built, treaded flatbed truck. It has a dozen orks in the back, wielding pistols and chopping implements. There is grafitti scrawled on the truck. Visible is ‘NIKA’ around a crude fleur-de-lis, and the phrase “Wiv Compl’m’n’try Shootas” [sic]. The seventh photo is of a large ork with a orkish creature half his size, all mouth, mohawk, and legs. The ork has a mancatcher in his right hand, and holds the harness of the beast with the other. The eight photo is of a tiny goblin with a stick grenade held high, hauling an overflowing ammo box. The ninth photo is a composite of five photos, each of which depicts two goblins. The goblins are variously armed with clubs, knives, pistols, and carbines. End Image ID.]

Kanz, and Trukks, and Grots, oh my!
I’ll admit, when I started painting my orks blue, I didn’t know that that was associated with Deathskulls and looting in general. But I am 100% on board with it, because now every release is an ork release. Even non-GW releases. Especially bargain bin vehicles. I’m willing to buy the actual kits, of course, but y’all, I had so much fun making this trukk. I used up like 75% of my vehicle bits doing it, but absolutely worth it.
I think I’m good on grots for the foreseeable future, though.
