You weren’t expecting to be seen.

The bald cap is tight—too tight—itchy at the crown where the mesh bunched, like a thousand tiny ants crawling across your scalp. The suit clings to you in all the wrong ways, the armpits sticky with sweat and soda you’d spilled earlier in the rush to get to your seat—Row 231, just past the nosebleeds. From here, the stage looked so far away it was almost like another planet. But the second the lights dimmed, everyone around you shot to their feet, screaming. Flashlights on. Phone cameras trembling in anticipation.

And then…

Pitbull had taken the stage.

Mr. Worldwide himself.

You’d seen pictures before, sure. Music videos. Interviews. But nothing…nothing could have prepared you for this. His bald head glimmered under the stage lights like it had been personally polished by the gods. His skin glowed, and beads of sweat rolled down the slope of his perfectly symmetrical skull, catching in the collar of his crisp white dress shirt before. He was more than a man. He was Mr. 305.

And then he started to sing.

Spotify through your busted car speakers could never have done him justice. His voice was smooth, silky just like duck fuzz. The crowd roared, the bass rattled through your bones, and he moved—God, he moved like melting butter dripping down the side of a stack of pancakes. Every turn of his body seemed to pull the spotlight with him, like even the light itself couldn’t resist him.

And then…somehow…his eyes were on you.

At first you thought it was a trick of the spotlight. A coincidence. But no… he wasn’t looking away. His gaze locked with yours beneath the dark lenses of his sunglasses. The music kept going without him, but for one too-long second, time froze. You were pinned there, breathless, your hands clutching at your chest like you could keep your heart from exploding.

He was looking at you. At your bald cap. Your suit. Your damp collar. Your trembling lips.

He smiled…no, smirked…and then winked, and when he sang the next line, it was like every single word was meant for you, and only you.

No because y’all don’t know the level of jealousy I reach every time I see someone on my tl saying “my theater…” “the audition…” “the character I’m playing…” because I can’t do that. Not only in my country doing theater is seen as bad and weird it is only acceptable if a child does it.

The only people who go to the theater to see plays or musicals are old people or people like me.

In February I went to see Les Miserables and an old couple behind us (me and my friend went together) were whispering while smiling that they were so happy to see young people enjoy theater. Like. What?

Also, now that we are in Les Miserables part. I had to travel to go see it. And I’m not even in a little town or something like that, i live in one of the favorite destinations for tourists in summer. It’s a big city. And I had to travel to go see a well known musical (even by people who don’t see musicals often or that straight up don’t like them).

And I’m not gonna get into how y’all get so much more musical that we do.

Sorry for the rant. This was supposed to be a one sentence funny thing about how I’m jealous of people who live in USA who get to do theater and are encouraged to.

Sorry again. (I would say “take me to New York” but I don’t think I wanna me in usa right now.)

I feel like I should warn anyone that followed me for one fandom that I am the epitome of multi fandom, and it could take months for me to draw fanart of the thing you followed me for again. I am so sorry, but I am incredibly weak when faced with stupid little guys, and it took my friend a day and a half to get into the Ace Attorney fandom (Hence the comic) so I am deeply sorry to anyone who followed me for ONE fandom.
