As I end my week of daily radiation treatments there is so so much I’m thankful for. On Monday morning we had such an amazing word from the Lord from Exodus 15:22-26. The people of God wandered for 3 days in the desert without water and then when they found water it was bitter! Moses cried out to God and He asked him to get a tree nearby and put it in water and the water turned sweet and they could drink!! Sometimes when we are at the absolute end of ourselves and God gives us a solution that seems strange.. it is right and good to trust Him and then see how he turns the bitter and desperate situations in our lives into the sweetest places. This is salvation. This is our God. I remain speechless at how God has sweetened this week with His grace and healing. A friend on my radiation team, such grace in my sessions, minimal side effects, sleep despite the heavy medication, amazing food/soups/chocolate/fruits/nuts/cards/messages/books/flowers/calls all appearing at the right time to encourage and lift!! Thank you to each of you for your prayers! I think of the many many struggling.. and I ask that each of us stay sensitive to the needs of so many around us… and continue to smile and love others in difficult places.
