I’m bringing back my evil muse, guys. I don’t know if any of you knew/RPed with me while I was writing over at @trustthedr but I’m adding Niles here as a side-blog because I miss his ridiculous blend of saccharine sweet and absolutely sadistic. 

If anyone wants/has the patience to teach me how to make his blog look pretty I’d certainly appreciate a few pointers!

The doctor left a package for his new friend - a little box of homemade tea bags with a note that read, "At times one may find it easier to substitute a vice for a lesser evil. May society never frown on the consumption of tea." // Niles put hallucinogenic mushroom bits in that tea that make you feel really nice. Have fun, happy birthday!

Lorne curiously picked up the box, humming and smiling when he found what it was. “Bless that man,” he murmured, making a mental note to give him a call. Smiling, he put the tea aside before rummaging through his things for his phone, then made a call.

"Got your present, and I’m very grateful! I don’t know how you managed to guess that I adored tea…Is it because I’m English? I’ll pay you a visit later, mate, and until then, thanks a bunch!"

"You're a doctor?" 

Lorne had been trying for years, with no success. Maybe now he could get the help he needed. He was twenty-four now, he had started when he was fifteen. Nine years, nearly ten. He needed to stop, to get over the addiction, over the dependency.

"How...Can you help me? I've been trying to stop, for ages...I don't know what to do."

44. “Sit down.”

Jack folded his arms across his chest, tilting his head every so slightly, glaring daggers. “I would very much rather stand, if you don’t mind,” he replied, although by his tone it was obvious that he didn’t care whether or not the other man minded at all. Holding up his clawed fingers, he began to examine the metalwork. “I am assuming you called me here for a reason? Come, come, come—I don’t have all day.”

It wasn't very often that the doctor needed to venture past his home collection for reading material. Local libraries were wonderful resources, but the Niles's research queries were best sought in the privacy of his own home, away from prying eyes. It was, on occasion, important for him to contribute something of a sideline to his public image - something to throw any curious minds off the scent of what he truly did in his late nights - and for those times he was more than willing to step into a local establishment and interact with the populace.

He put a wry smile on his face as he approached the librarian, folding his hands behind his back as he cleared his throat politely to catch his attention.

"Excuse me, ah... I was wondering if you carry The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage, by Craig Midori," he inquired casually.
