Hello, everyone!

Fun fact: I am not dead!

I know it’s been a long, long while and I said I’d be coming back. And I will be! Very soon! Assuming all goes well. 

There’s been a lot of changes in my life over the last few years and it has taken up most of my time. For one thing, I’ve recently discovered that I am trans masculine, so that’s… that’s been a wild ride. Still learning and growing as I go; this is all very new to me. Several other life-changing events have occurred (most all of it good stuff, so don’t worry!), but I won’t get into all of that here. 

Suffice to say, I’ve been very busy!  But we finally have stable internet and my life is starting to calm down a bit to allow time for leisurely internet usage, so that means I can finally make my return. Apologies that it took so damn long.

I’ll be updating my pages, making icons, and all that jazz over the course of the next couple of weeks. There will be some significant changes to my rules and about pages specifically, so please be aware and give those a read-through once they are posted! I am looking forward to writing with you and reconnecting with the fandom I’ve loved for so many years! ♥ Riven (They/Him)

I am! Just busy! I finally got stable internet recently, but I'm still struggling to get to a place where I can roleplay again. Hopefully soon! But I don't think I'll be around in the same capacity as before. Probably just one or two days a week, and I'll be highly selective. :) Thanks for checking in!

Hey, everyone!

I know a few months ago I said I'd be back soon and that... hasn't happened. I'm truly sorry. We fell on some hard times and had to give up our internet. I occasionally have internet access through a hotspot on my roommate's phone, but I try not to abuse that privilege. But because of this, I have not been able to do anything in regards to tumblr and sprucing up my blogs.

The good news is that I now have a second job. It's just for the holidays unless they decide to keep me afterwards (fingers crossed), but hopefully it will provide enough to get us back on our feet. Until then, I will not be here.

I'm sorry I waited so long in telling you. I had hoped our situation would improve sooner, but that wasn't the case and, quite frankly, life's been crazy. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

I’ll be Coming Back Soon!

Hey, everyone! I know it’s been a while. I apologize for that.

Things are looking up for me. I’ve finally gotten a job and stress has been a lot less lately. I am more myself than I have been since October. Thus, I feel as if I am ready to return to Tumblr as soon as I adjust to my new work schedule and figure out how to manage my time.

There will be a few changes, however. I’m going to keep my blogs low activity and highly selective. Memes will be okay, but I will  likely want to plot with you before responding to it, and not all memes will be answered. If I do not have muse for something, I will notify you before dropping it. Rules will be updated as well, so keep an eye out for that.

I know I said I’d be here, and I’m sorry I keep putting it off. But to be quite honest, I just don’t have the spoons to deal with tumblr right now. My own mental health has degraded so much over the course of the last few months that I don’t think I can handle it. I’m questioning friendships and the like and it’s just... really not healthy. I’m not healthy.

I got anon hate a while back from someone and while I have since turned anon off, I’m not in a place where I can just shrug that off and move on. I thought I could, but honestly I can’t get it out of my head. I know I shouldn’t care, that they don’t matter, but the fact is, it’s gotten to me. While it hasn’t hurt me so deeply that I’ll never recover, it has made it that much harder for me to want to come back. It certainly didn’t make me feel welcome within the community.

What’s more, one of my cats died right after I went on break and I’m still not over it. It was honestly pretty traumatic and that is just one more painful thing to add to my already overflowing plate. 

I’m not saying all of this to garner pity or whatever. But I do hope that it will serve as an explanation for why I haven’t returned yet, and why I’m probably not going to for a while. I can’t give an exact date, unfortunately, but do know that I aim on coming back once I get my shit together and feel like a better, more emotionally available human being.
