JOHNNY DEPP WINS!

As a survivor of child and domestic abuse I'm happy that the truth came to light for Johnny Depp.

I believe and hope that men of domestic abuse may be encouraged to come forward, which is a cause I've campaigned for. In many cultures, its harder for men to come forward, just as much as its harder for women to be beleived.

And for all those dismissing the supporters of Johnny Depp, many like me were never a fan of him as an actor. Simply not the films that interested me. Nor Amber Heard as she made no impression on me in Aquaman. I have been since the trial a firm #JusticeForJohnnyDepp supporter. Truth truly never dies, nor can it be forever hidden. I'm now off to see those films of Johnny!

“Truth Never Dies”!

In just over a decade, more than a thousand journalists have been killed, while carrying out their indispensable work. Nine out of ten cases are unresolved, with no one held accountable. Female journalists are often at greater risk of being targeted not only for their reporting but also because of their gender, including through the threat of sexual violence. This year alone, at least 88 journalists have been killed. Many thousands more have been attacked, harassed, detained or imprisoned on spurious charges, without due process. This is outrageous. This should not become the new normal. When journalists are targeted, societies as a whole pay a price. I am deeply troubled by the growing number of attacks and the culture of impunity. I call on Governments and the international community to protect journalists and create the conditions they need to do their work. On this day, I pay tribute to journalists who do their jobs every day despite intimidation and threats. Their work -and that of their fallen colleagues -reminds us that truth never dies, neither must our commitment to the fundamental right to freedom of expression. Reporting is not a crime. Together, let us stand up for journalists, for truth and for justice. Thank you.

在短短十二年间，已有一千多名记者，在承载社会使命的工作中被杀害。他们的惨死案件，十之有九都悬而未决，更没有人承担责任。女性记者往往更有可能成为眼中钉，不但因为她们的报道，更因为她们的性别而让恶势力可以用性暴力相威胁。仅在今年，至少有88名记者遇难。更有上千人被不实指控、遭到袭击、骚扰、拘禁或监禁。这让人出离愤怒、这不应该成为新常态。当记者成为攻击目标，付出代价的是整个社会。越来越多的（记者）遇袭案和罪者逍遥文化让我深感不安。我呼吁各国政府和国际社会出面保护记者、并为他们的工作创造条件。在此，我要向那些背负恐吓和威胁、却仍然每天坚持工作的记者表达敬意。他们和他们牺牲的同僚在用他们的工作提醒我们：真相永远不会消亡，我们对言论自由基本权利的承诺也不会消亡。报道不是犯罪！让我们一起站起来，为记者、真相和公义伸出援手。谢谢。
