A reminder from someone who specifically studies this stuff that the Sides from Sanders Sides are an accurate, if stylized, portrayal of the kinds of interactions that actually happen between different parts of a person's mind, and have absolutely nothing to do with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Everyone has Sides, or Parts as psychology calls them. If you've ever internally debated having that last cookie, you've experienced disagreements between your own Parts. There is an entire discipline of therapy- Internal Family Systems- that centers around identifying, communicating with and creating harmony between Parts.
DID is when Parts dissociate from the main consciousness so that the system experiences them as separate personalities. For those without DID, a person's Parts are exactly that- a part of them- and the Sides are a great depiction of this.
Saying that Sanders Sides is offensive to people with DID is inaccurate both about what DID actually is and about how people's minds work. There are so many genuine criticisms to be made about the show; please don't spread misinformation by using this one.
hmmm cutie
The fact that Roman is the one who has canonically cussed the most is shocking yet completely unsurprising at the same time
Are there more dark sides? Are there more light sides? Can I meet them? Can one of them be pink? Can we get a flashback of Virgil with the dark sides? Am I asking for too much? I feel like I'm asking for too much, I'm sorry
Remy and Emile role swap anyone?
Sleep!Emile who
Represents the cute sort of sleepy
Big yawns that remind you of a kitten
He always has dark circles under his eyes but he covers them up with glittery make-up
Huge sweaters he can sink into
Falls asleep everywhere but no one ever wakes him because OH he's just so precious.
Constantly carrying around stuff animals that he still sleeps with.
Keeps a dream journal
Therapist!Remy who
Keeps up a constant cool guy act ESPECIALLY in front of the kids.
Seems like he doesn't care for his patients, but cares a whole lot.
"Mitchell just... hurts me sometimes..." "F**k Mitchell"
Always brings an extra tea of coffee to share with his patients.
His advice is always framed around social media or other social events of some sorts.
Still dresses exactly the same, but now he has a PHD
"We had to move offices" "why, noise complaint?" "No I called the landlord a b*tch" "why?" "They were being a b*tch."
ASKING ALL FELLOW FANDERS A BUNCH SANDER SIDES QUESTIONS I HAVE RN CUZ I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT IT ALL AND I NEED TO EXPRESS THEORIES AND HEADCANONS AND IDEAS AND SUCH SOMEHOW
Where tf was Anxiety when the others entered his room for the first time aaaaallll the way back in near the start of this series? Remember when Thomas, Logic, Morality, and Creativity(1/2) entered Anxiety's room to find him cuz Thomas has 0% Anxiety? And then they looked around and were just about to ask where he was until he appeared and suddenly shouted at them for being in his room? It looked like he was elsewhere and when he appears he immediately took notice of intruders and questioned why they where there... was he in another sides room? Was he with dark sides? Was he simply just elsewhere in their world (Thomas' mind)? What was he doing? What did he do while gone? Why would he have not already been in his room when they got there? Who could he have been with while out? Did he get back at that same moment as when he then took notice of his intruders, and if so did he sense them there and immediately come back or did he just happen to get back at that moment? Or maybe he could tell that intruders were entering his room and he hid to then listen to them before popping out and questioning them? Or maybe when intruders enter his room he feels it and has various tactics on handling it and since he was quitting being anxiety he used the 'hide and wait for the right time to come out' tactic? Do the room bend to his will at all? He seems to be able to modify himself pretty well, but can he do that with his room or objects in his room?
I HAVE TOO MANY QUESTIONS AHH

P.S.- I'm tagging the only Fander I know on this site well enough ish kinda sorta to give them ideas and maybe they'll enjoy thinking about this stuff too idk I'm trying I swear ahhh

Both Roman and Janus were in the wrong
Roman shouldn’t have laughed when Janus revealed his name.
Janus shouldn’t have made the Remus jab at Roman.
They both made bad decisions in the heat of the moment that they regretted soon after.
They both made mistakes.
