Lovelies,
Reminder that Paralives is a FRESH START, so let's make sure that paywallers and early access folks know they are not welcomed. This behavior is not accepted in the vast majority of other gaming communities, they don't tolerate this behavior and we don't have to either. JUST SAY NO.
We will shape the paralives community together, so let's make it a great place to be for everyone.
ps. Here's an avenue to submit your feedback and thoughts on the topic. Reminder to approach with respect. https://www.paralives.com/gamefeedback
xoxo,
Snacks.

WELCOME TO BRIDGEPORT
Spend almost the entire day building this part of the downtown in PineCreek can’t wait for you guys to see inside the shops 🤭🤭 the book store is for sure my favorite one 💖
A more complete look of Lost Lake's Downtown
finally starting to like the way it looks
but i've still got a few things to do
Some more pics of my NYC inspired save! I had so much trouble deciding on what to do with this area in Newcrest but I was inspired by Vartosa to create a park! So this area is inspired by Central Park and 5th avenue in New York. This is obviously still a work in progress, I don't think I'll ever be done...
Last pic is from a different area but I realised I never posted it.
divorced dad’s apt… 📦
Silent Pines, 1998 - V.2
Special Credit: Silent Pines is heavily inspired by and uses a very similar style to the stunning @windbrook savefile by @folkling, the gorgeous portsim savefile by @florwal, and the amazing builds by @moonwoodmillz. Thank you all for your hard work, I take a lot of inspiration from you all.
Silent Pines is a base-game only save file inspired by Life is Strange with 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.
Version 2 contains;
Willow Creek as Silent Pines
Oasis Springs as Eclipse
Newcrest as Twilight Bay

20th march, mass Tumblr log off in protest of the reblog update
Remember when we threatened a mass log off to get rid of shapes.inc and then all the shapes.inc ads mysteriously vanished? yeah, let's do that again. On the 20th of march 2026, we tumblr users will log off in protest of the split notes on reblogs. Spread the word!! Reblog!! Tag your moots!!
Side note: tag yapping doesn't seem to count as an addition to the OG post, you can use that to carry out conversations.

Gaming companies ruining the beauty of endlessly moddable abandonware by “remastering” it, then pumping it full of unnecessary updates, just to open up micro transaction shops under the guise of “mod marketplaces” isn’t all that surprising, as it isn’t their first attempt at shifting industry practices in the interest of profits.
Still pretty upsetting to watch however, bc these types games were supposed to be an escape from the $60-$80, lootbox and season pass laden, always online experiences that had poisoned the industry in recent years, but such hasn’t been the case of late.
Idk how, or why, or who’s at fault, but there was a weakness in this seemingly impenetrable wall, and the companies found it, and have every interest in exploiting it, and that kinda sucks, bc it really felt like the last thing that was truly pure in an industry they’d already squeezed a lot of the fun out of.
Gaming is a hobby for me, but like many other hobbies it’s definitely gotten to a point where it feels as if I’m being priced out of it. I’m happy some of y’all found a way to monetize it, even if just to keep priced in, and honestly who wouldn’t wanna get paid doing what they want to do rather than what they have to do, esp in this economy, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I believe some parts of gaming should just be kept sacred from the involvement of money.
Reviving old, abandoned games through modding wasn’t just a hobby for some, it was protest against what the gaming industry had become, it was community, it was an opportunity for people to offer not only content, but also skills and information that would have otherwise cost them money to attain.
It was freedom, but once freedom stops being free of cost for one, even if well meaning, unfortunately that will affect everyone else in that ecosystem, and I’m sad to say it’s been affected for a while.
What’s sad is I’m not nearly as upset about this marketplace thing as I am about this possibly being the end of what The Sims 4 retirement could’ve been.
Free from the clutches of EA support, and given back to the players.
It really would’ve been amazing seeing it go through the modding community renaissance the previous ones had, not just for the benefit of the game itself, but also for the people in the community as well, but an eternity locked in user agreement jail it is, ig.

EA and Maxis have announced today a new The Sims 4 Marketplace. Where players can purchase additional sets, CC and content for the game in e
now it's the perfect time to support creators of free cc. i truly hope as few creators as possible support this, because it's really bad. it is bad for the franchise itself as well as for the entire sims community. so disappointing, but not surprising at all.
