this is something i've been working on for a while now. during my process of creating a world, i've been very limited by the game itself : i've always wanted to have a simple, flat, textured terrain to have as much freedoom as possible.
the screenshot is taken in newcrest, where i have completely flattened the terrain and deleted roads and water. i've still some work to do on water though.
the best-case scenario would be to achieve this in every base game world for a start. and of course, sharing it with you so you could build your own worlds with no limits.
i'm not 100% sure it is possible, as the game is unfortunately not supposed to work this way. i've still some things to figured out, but i'm already very happy with what i've achieved. like it's really been a whileeeeee since i've started trying. i'll keep you informed!
Funny how originally The Sims was considered to be a satire on consumerism and late stage capitalism, and 26 years, 3 games, and thousands of dollars in DLC later, it might be getting in-game ads.

irl work in progress painting !!!! inspired by sims 3 late night :^) it's a rework of an older painting of the same concept. i'm painting in the gui too cuz i really like combining digital elements with traditional mediums.

Some more pics of my NYC inspired save! I had so much trouble deciding on what to do with this area in Newcrest but I was inspired by Vartosa to create a park! So this area is inspired by Central Park and 5th avenue in New York. This is obviously still a work in progress, I don't think I'll ever be done...

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've decorated all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used.
There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required.
For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances;
DISCLAIMER: Only Silent Pines (Willow Creek) has the mystery to solve; the other 2 worlds are just for playing in. Also, the 'Harris' household has been notoriously difficult to load into, for which I apologise. If you'd like to explore their house, please bring a sim to visit them <3
