INTRODUCTION - DRAMATIS PERSONAE - FAMILY TREE - LOCATIONS - PART ONE
The Six (so far) TIEMPO Covers of Queen Katherine
There is little doubt that Queen Katherine remains the Sims world’s most enduring magazine cover figure. From infancy to the present day, her image has graced countless publications, her presence alone enough to command attention. Since her birth, she has been a constant darling of the press—her warmth, poise, and quiet authority earning both admiration and respect from journalists across the simisphere.
At every defining moment of her life, editors have turned to her as both subject and symbol. A cover bearing her likeness all but guarantees public interest, each appearance capturing not just an image, but a moment in the evolution of the Crown itself.
Among these, Tiempo magazine stands apart. Over the course of three decades, the publication has featured Queen Katherine on six separate covers—beginning with her debut as a young princess, and most recently in 2031, in a commemorative issue alongside Prince Rainier. Together, these covers trace not only the life of a sovereign, but the shaping of a modern monarchy.
What follows is a look back at those covers—and the stories that shaped them.
April 1996
At just three years old, Queen Katherine made her Tiempo debut—already a figure of fascination across the Sims world. The young princess quickly became an unlikely trendsetter; when it was revealed her wardrobe was filled with pink dresses, mothers everywhere began replacing their daughters’ reds and blues with soft shades of pink.
February 2014
Marking her twenty-first birthday, Princess Katherine—then heiress to the throne—returned to the cover of Tiempo. Shortly after, while on holiday in Sulani with King George, Queen Rowena, and Princess Lara, she delivered the speech that would define her early public life, pledging to serve “whether it be long or short,” a vow that resonated across the kingdom.
April 2023
Newly ascended, Queen Katherine appeared on the April cover following the death of King George on 21 March 2023. She was in Brindleton Bay with Prince Rainier when the news reached her, returning swiftly to Easton to assume the Crown and begin what many anticipate will be a defining modern reign.
January 2024
Named Tiempo’s Person of the Year, Queen Katherine graced the January 2024 issue at the dawn of her reign. Her coronation followed that May, cementing her place as both sovereign and symbol in a rapidly evolving Sims world.
June 2028
Marking five years on the throne, Queen Katherine appeared on the June 2028 cover of Tiempo in full regalia, wearing the Lucille Grand Tiara, the Lara-Leigh Jubilee Necklace, the blue Garter Riband with its Badge and Star, and the Royal Family Order of King George. The issue captured a sovereign in stride—closing the opening chapter of her reign on an upward note, bolstered by her sweeping Commonwealth tour (2027–2030), through which she connected personally with millions of sims across the realm.
April 2031
Queen Katherine was joined by Prince Rainier on the April 2031 cover of Tiempo, issued in celebration of His Royal Highnesses 38th birthday. The feature highlighted the Consort’s growing role within the Crown and his steadfast support of the Queen, offering a rare glimpse into a royal partnership that continues to shape the modern reign. The cover photo displays the couple waving from the balcony at Buckingsim Palace after the July 2030 Trooping the Color Ceremony. Prince Rainier wears the uniform of the Colonel of the Grenada Guards, after being appointed as the 21st Colonel of the Regiment. The Duke of Kent held the position from 1995-2029, having been appointed by the late King George.

Fù Jiānyīng | Imperial Princess Consort
Fù Jiānyīng is born into a wealthy but declining aristocratic family. Her parents, still clinging to their ancestral glory, raised her to embody the elegance and discipline of her imperial past, unaware of the memories she carried. Jiānyīng struggles to adjust to the fast-paced world, where tradition is often replaced by ambition, and loyalty is a rare commodity. Once betrothed to the late second prince, her fate falls into the hands of the heir of the Linh Dynasty.

A DECISION HAS BEEN MADE
Hi, everyone. After over two years of inactivity on this page, I've made my decision.
It is with great sadness that I announce that I will be retiring from Royal Simblr.
There are a few reasons behind this:
Just trying to boot up The Sims 4 has become a pain in my ass, and fighting with my game every time I want to create isn’t fun anymore.
I’ve lost interest in the storyline, and forcing myself to keep going doesn’t feel fair to me or to the characters I once loved.
I’m ready to move on to bigger and better things, creatively and personally.
And most importantly, I’m grieving the loss of my sister, Brittney, and right now the last thing I need to pour my energy into is a Royal Sims story. My heart is somewhere else, and I need to honor that.
I know this isn’t a decision anyone wants, and trust me, it wasn’t easy. But it is what’s best for me.
Thank you—truly—for four years of support, kindness, excitement, and creativity. This community has meant so much to me, and I’m grateful for every person who followed along, commented, reblogged, or simply enjoyed the ride.
I’m not disappearing from the internet, just closing this chapter. And I’m leaving with a lot of love.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
—Jess
So do you remember the royal consorts portraits going around royal simblr? Well inspired by @funkyllama, @warwickroyals, @thegrimalldis and @trentonsimblr I did my version of it but instead of it being just consorts this gallery also features some of Charleston's most notable rulers! Have a calming drink cause it's a long post!
King Henri & Queen Astrid [ruled from 1382 to 1401]. Founders and the first King and Queen of Charleston.
King Erik ‘the Bloodfist’ & Queen Sigrid [ruled from 1435 to 1448]. Successful war leaders who united the warring Northern Tribes and conquered parts of Nord and Rionnag. They were also both spellcasters.
Queen Sofia [ruled from 1448 to 1549]. The first female ruler of Charleston and also the youngest monarch to ever rule. Changed the succession law to equal. Had 3 husbands during her reign. Was a spellcaster like her parents. She also currently has the longest reign.
Queen Märtha [ruled from 1562 to 1576]. Second wife of King Fredrik. She was a Nordian princess that married Fredrik for political reasons, but the couple ended up actually falling in love. During her reign she convinced Fredrik to return taken territories back to Rionnag and Nord and established Nord as a minority language.
Queen Henrietta [ruled from 1662 to 1677]. First consort with a university education. Established laws for women's equality as well as criminalized marriages for anyone under the age of 15. She was also an excellent spymaster.
Queen Sylvia [ruled from 1732 to 1753]. A known patron of arts she helped funding the construction of Charleston's Opera House. Took over the crown after the death of her husband, King Gustav III and reigned until her death.
Queen Victoria I & Prince Consort Harald. [Ruled from 1834 to 1870]. Victoria I wrote several laws protecting children's rights into action, including work laws and the age of equal consent. Harald was one of the founding members of the Nordic Alliance and served as a representative there during it's first 3 years.
Queen Inga & Sir Arthur Johnson [Ruled from 1887 to 1935]. Queen Inga is the only ruler to have used a veto for their marriage. She took the crown after the death of her first husband King Gustav VI; who famously ordered the Spellcaster Purge. Sir Arthur was the last active duty royal knight, and an important character in stabilizing the nation after the purge and it's resulted conflicts.
King Carl-Gustav IV & Queen Arianne (pictured here as Crown Prince and Princess) [Ruled from 1935 to 1960]. First royal couple to have their wedding televised. Both were well known children's rights advocates and build multiple safe homes for kids around the world. Queen Arianne also founded the Children's Royal Library, a charity organization focusing on giving books to children and raising literacy rates.
King Daniel [Ruled from 1992 to 2004] & Queen Marissa [Ruled from 2004 to 2026]. During his rule Daniel added a third gender option to law and hosted multiple LGBT+ charity events. His wife Marissa continued his work after his passing and was a very vocal supporter of her grandson Henrik's relationship with Michael.
Queen Victoria II & Prince Consort Benjamin [Ruled from 2026 - 2036]. Victoria II abolished the law preventing heirs from marrying foreigners in 2034. She also was an accomplished military general and diplomat. Benjamin was a human rights advocate and an exceptional diplomat who's efforts in the field gained him several medals of recognition, the highest being the Nordic Union Cross of diplomacy.
King Henrik & Prince Consort Michael [Ruled from 2036 - ]. First same sex ruling couple. Henrik legalized spellcasters and set them protection laws. He's also the first spellcaster ruler since The Spellcaster Purge. Michael is a former competitive swimmer and nowadays a patron of Charleston's national swimming team. He served in the military during the Charleston-Salix war and earned the "Heart of Lion" -medal of courage for his actions.
