Laurie, the third child and only daughter of Terenzio and Iris was born in Tartosa, where her family owns a winery, that her older brothers will probably inherit (she'd actually love to take over the winery, but doesn't want any conflict with her family). Early on she decided she wanted to travel the world and make a change before settling down somewhere. After graduating, she spent some time in Selvadorada and Sulani volunteering for nature conservation projects, before she moved to San Myushuno. She now lives near the Spice Market in a colourful, yet rundown apartment, juggling two different jobs - as a freelance artist and an art museum guide - to actually afford a university degree. So far, it hasn't really worked out the way she planned it and deep down Laurie is full of doubt about whether she actually still wants to pursue an academic degree or whether something or someone is missing from her life ...

The twin sisters were born under an auspicious celestial alignment, a rare occurrence said to bring great fortune to the dynasty. Their mother, Imperial Consort Fù, was known for her unmatched beauty, political acumen, and steadfast devotion to the Emperor. These qualities made her a favored consort, though her influence also stirred envy and resentment among other court factions.
The Emperor, overjoyed by the birth of twin daughters, declared their arrival a divine blessing.
