god the single tear forming in the corner of his eye. the expression on his face. it’s all happening before he can fully register it, or react to it. an uncontrolled force of nature. granting a wish that sparks up the company’s sky, while frightening everyone else, sending a chill down their spine. and it’s only possible because he believes he doesn’t have anything that would ground him anymore. that there is no place for him here anymore. because he believes yoshiki, the one who’s always been his place of belonging, the one hikaru has been oh so gentle all this time for, hates him. and he’s so broken down that asako can hear his sadness from so far away.
