Affection

Tsu learned very early on in her relationship with Katsuki that he wasn’t the most affectionate guy. Yes, she knew before that the blonde wasn’t much of a feeling type, but everyone expected him to give some affection to his loved ones. And he did, they were just subtle and quiet, just how she liked it. They didn’t need to be loud about their love like their classmates. No pet names or declarations of love, just simple taps, kisses, and looks. And she loved it very much.

By the time Tatsuo was born, Katsuki had learned to be a bit more affectionate then what was normal. It was still small, but it was enough to show that they had grown from highschool sweethearts to happily married. Foreheads pressed together, arms around waists as they worked, and of course, resting each other’s head on any part they can reach. For Katsuki it was her head or shoulder, for her it was his arm or chest. It felt natural to them, the couple didn’t need to be loud about their love, just knowing it was there. And that was fine for them, for a while they worried they would need to be more vocal about their love for Tatsuo, but she picked up on their love language fast, fast enough that she didn’t question it when she started going to school. But her friends were a different story.

“Hey Tats, why don't your parents ever say they love each other?” One of Tatsuo’s friends asked, Yui if she remembered correctly. She slowed down her chopping of vegetables, listening in on the conversation that was happening in their living room. Behind her, she could feel Katsuki tense up, waiting to see what would happen before he stepped in.

“What are you talking about, they say it all the time, just not out loud,” Tatsuo said, her confusion lacing her voice. Tsu didn’t need to look up to know her daughter was doing the same tilted head, finger on chin thing she did or that her eyes were narrowing with suspicion like her dads. 

“How though? Like can you even say ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?” Another girl piped in, Akana this time. Katsuki movements were becoming more rapid, his insecurities coming off him in waves. They never had to really talk about it before, even when their old classmates pestered them about it, but she knew it bothered her husband each time it was brought up.

“It's all like physical, like Dad always taps mom on the shoulder three times every morning and when she gets home. They are always touching in some way and their eyes speak more than their words could ever.”

Katsuki relaxed behind her and she looked down at the vegetables she was chopping, leaving the small group of friends to talk about whatever came up next. They didn’t need to verbalize how lucky they were to have a daughter like Tatsuo. She turned around to dump the vegetable into the soup, her eyes meeting Katsuki’s which said everything she knew they would.

Cannnn I get some hcs for my rarepair Tsubaku

-Tsuyu is not afraid to call Baku out on his crap -The first time she did it in front of Bakusquad, everyone cringed in anticipation of an explosion. But Tsuyu just did a little smile and Baku sank down with a sheepish expression. There was a moment of silence before Kami started yelling. -”BAKUGO THAT IS SO UNFAIR-”-Tsuyu immediately drops the honorifics and starts calling him Katsuki and making him call her Tsu. -Bakugo’s talent in hairstyling began with Tsuyu. He was so confused on how Tsuyu made her hair do that bow thing and insisted she show him. He failed utterly several times before getting it, and now he likes to do her hair in the morning. -Bakugo’s very protective, and he likes to show it physically. Holding Tsu’s hand, putting a hand on her back, etc. Tsuyu normally isn’t huge into PDA but she doesn’t mind so much with Bakugo. -Tsuyu is really really good at massages. Whenever Bakugo is being unreasonably cranky, she makes him lay down and she totally puts him to sleep. (He’s generally more irritable when he’s tired, so that’s why she does it.) Kirishima says she’s magic. -They’re not verbally super sweet to each other, but everyone that’s around them can tell they’re in love.
