hi. Just wondering if you were still working on The Merc Household AU because I thinks it’s pretty cool and I’d love to make fanart or fic of it

Hallo! Thank you so much for asking! It's been quite a while ^^ All my ideas for TMH are currently in the drafts or being remastered, so I don't have much with me right now! I do however have these little crumbs I've been meaning to share for a while now:

TMH takes place during the very early 2000s, some couple of years after the events of TF2 [comicwise, but I'm sure its the same gamewise too!]

Scout often sneaks out to go play arcade games really far away, he even made a friend named Ness [i.e. my own TF2 OC named Scavenger, who is a tenth class!] who had also left Teufort. Recently, Scout's been spending less time at the mercs' shared house, and the others have started to take notice...

Out of all the ex-mercs, Demo is the richest due to his multiple jobs and family inheritance. He likes treating his friends most of the time [and by treating, I mean buying them overly expensive stuff and taking them out to fancy restaurants to have luxurious food]. The only reason he hasn't taken everyone on a vacation is because the others literally begged him to not take them [and also because Sniper has horrible homesickness].

Pyro is amazing with animals, especially domesticated animals and pets, and they dream of opening a shelter for all the abandoned pets they spot every other week. Engineer has to constantly convince them to not bring in every stray they see.

Due to the house being slightly small, some of the mercs share bedrooms and bunkbeds. Sniper and Medic share a room together, and Scout shares a bunkbed with Pyro. Demo and Soldier share a room as well, while the rest [Spy, Heavy, Engineer] have their own quarters... mostly because Spy hates sharing, Heavy has a tendancy to [very loudly] speak Russian in his sleep, and Engineer has deemed the basement/garage his 'room'.

Soldier has stirred up the most fights in the neighbourhood, with Scout coming at a close second. It often takes a very sober Demo and an exhausted Engie to get him to stop threatening a slightly irritated neighbour with manslaughter.

The mercs once bought a stack of aprons for Medic, an apron for each day of the week, with different words on each one, as a way of naming him the house chef. Medic both adores and loathes them. Sniper personally loves the 'Kiss The Chef' apron that Medic wears on Mondays.

Scout's mother often comes by to visit Scout and Spy on weekends, and always brings food for their 'very sane housemates'. She enjoys conversing with Engie and Heavy [which definitely does not make Spy jealous].

I've only got this much for now, but I hope to be able to write more soon! Studies have been hard on me shhhdgd

Any headcanons you have that separate red and blu team from tf2?

Hi and thank you very much for asking!! I'm dumb but I'm assuming this is asking what hcs I have that seperate the RED and BLU teams in TF2, so I'll be getting into it! Warning: lots of reading AAGS

For starters, they obviously have different names and personalities, but the difference is how they go about with it; RED team [with the exception of Spy] are very open with their real names and don't hide who they are because, why should they? They're literally employees assigned to kill other people and get to avoid permanent death as a bonus, they've got more to worry about than their public appearance to other teams. The most closed-off members would be Spy and Sniper as their occupations require them to be so, but apart from them, everyone else is quite extroverted!

BLU team, on the other hand... to say they're cautious is an understatement, because they have codenames, specific signals and gestures, goddamn BOOBY TRAPS, you get the whole shebang. They're all relatively reserved and closed off, even the BLU Scout, but thyy're actually quite close and open to eachother! While their... safety measures are a little over-the-top, it's not completely unreasonable. I mean, permanently losing your previous Medic and Scout to an uncalled ambush and a malfunctioning respawn system doesn't leave a good impression on you, does it now?

Each class also has little details and characteristics that differentiate them from their opposite counterparts, apart from their clothes and cosmetics. For starters, the RED Scout has blue eyes and short brown hair, while the BLU Scout's eyes are yellow and has his hair into a small ponytail. The RED Engineer's robot hand is his right, but it's the left hand for his BLU counterpart. RED Heavy is bald unlike the BLU Heavy, who is also an avid writer. The BLU Sniper wears a different pair of aviators and has a scar that runs across his face, that didn't heal after he was sent to respawn by the RED Spy. The BLU Medic is partially blind while the RED Medic has heightened vision due to literally surviving Satan. The BLU Demo has fabulous tied locks that would put Rapunzel to shame. The BLU Soldier has a pot for a helmet, a pickaxe for a shovel and is most likely clinically insane. The Pyros are virtually the same, except the BLU Pyro is probably depressed. The Spies are also quite similar, probably because they want to be able to replace eachother so they can backstab the other's teammates. [I'd get into detail more, such as names and behaviour, but this post would be too long]

Their routines are also different; on match-free days, RED usually stays active for most of the daytime from dawn to dusk, while BLU is primarily active from early afternoon to midnight. The RED base is located in a desert-like area by huge rock-like structures, and the BLU base is situated in a cold area. This is even weirder when you consider the fact that both bases aren't so far from eachother, almost being a 20-30 minute drive. Which is stupid, in RED Scout's opinion.

They also have different pets!!! RED Sniper could only wish he had a pet croc like his BLU counterpart does, but he's just as happy with his owl buddy Sir Hootsalot 🫶 BLU Engineer also has a mechanized cat, as a contrast to RED Engineer's robot dog.

I'd love to go more in-depth about all the differences I hc about both teams, but perhaps that will be for another post. In the meantime, I hope yall enjoy this as I haven't been active lately AGHHSGDF ty for asking again!!

Have some good ol' TF2 Headcanons! Because I'm bored! And artblock sucks! Writersblock too! God save me!

- RED Sniper and BLU Sniper are biologically related to eachother, no one knows how or why. They like to discuss stuff about their partners though [RED Medic and BLU Medic respectively]

- BLU Scout, Medic and Pyro are actually more nervous/anxious than their RED counterparts, and they often fidget and stay quiet a lot. The first two are just as sassy as their RED selves though 💀

- Both Scouts are dating their own teams' Pyros and seem to like argueing with eachother over whose Pyro is better 💀

- While BLU Scout has his mom and RED Spy, RED Scout doesn't have either of his parents. He only had his brothers, who kicked him out the family after their parents divorced and left them. But not to worry, RED Medic and RED Spy act as his father figures and BLU Scout and his mom make sure to give RED Scout lots of love, not to mention RED Pyro :D

- Unlike his RED self, BLU Scout doesn't have any brothers. He sees his Demo as a brother figure though!

- BLU Soldier and RED Demo share a friendly rivalry! No one actually knows if they're in a relationship together or just close buddies, and they, being the idiots they are, refuse to elaborate further just for shits and giggles.

- BLU Spy and Engie are also in love, the former is very open about it while the latter is ✨️chill✨️

- BLU Medic has poor vision and a missing left arm, and his teammates make sure to always stick by his side, especially BLU Sniper.

- What do you mean "does BLU Medic have trauma" of course he does, what do you think I am, uncultured?

- Both Medics are trans, RED Engie is aromantic, the rest are all ✨️gay✨️

- BLU Heavy didn't know what the Kazotsky Kick was until RED Heavy taught him. Now they do it together, even during matches.

- BLU Demo has a missing foot, which his Engie made a prosthetic for! He also offered to make one for his Medic, which was kindly refused.

- None of the mercs have phones except for the Scouts, and even then they only have Nokias 💀 RED Spy has one of those old telephones and BLU Pyro made a small cellphone out of cardboard [no it does not work].

- BLU Pyro has a pet Dalmatian named Spark while RED Pyro kept the small mutated bread and RED Scout named it 'Yeaster Bunny'.

- While RED Medic has Archimedes, BLU Medic's dove is named Socrates.

- RED Engie has heterochromia [left eye amber and right eye brown] but isn't too shy about it, he prefers to only take off his goggles within the RED base however.

- This is an unspoken rule that goes for both teams; if either Pyro gets insulted, the rest of the team will be out for blood. No one disrespects the baby and gets out alive. No one.

- Both teams like to go out occassionally if they have free time or holidays. RED likes going camping or on road trips while BLU enjoys going to the nearby city and maybe even buy some stuff. If one team is about to go out, they'll invite the other. And if they do go out together, they tend to leave random citizens confused as to why both teams look identical to eachother.

- BLU Demo has a small troll face covering his eye under his eyepatch, which his RED counterpart ADORES.

- The RED base's weather is hot and dry, while the BLU base is chilly and snowy. Which is also hilarious if you acknowledge the fact they're half an hour away from eachother. As a consequence the REDs usually wear summer clothing when they're not in their merc outfits and the BLUs wear heaping layers of winter clothing, much to the RED team's horror.

I think I'll make a part 2 sometime :D
