Hello purp, want some headcanons on doffy and tsuru relationship!! Some that tsuru is the mom who wears the pants un the relationship pls.

Hmmm ,so I kind of split this up into two "what if" scenarios; one in which their relationship with Doffy arrested and two if Doffy was found by Tsuru similar to how Cora was found by Sengoku.

Doflamingo’s Relationship with Tsuru

After being arrested:

He was quite harsh at first, never responding to her taunts or questions, always laughing hysterically at the woman’s attempts to get to him. 

Will do EVERYTHING in his manipulative power to get the seastone chains off. Hand him food? How can he eat with no hands? Bath time? Was he not allowed to wash his own hair? 

Asks her about her past. What led her to this life? Did she have family she left behind? Again, anything to give him leverage against the woman he will use.

Once time does pass between the two, Doffy might open up, perhaps in some narcissistic way to show how he was a victim and should be released. However, this will backfire and now he believes they have a bond.

I could see like YEARS down the line after this moment of her learning his past of Impel Down being attack and him saving her life. Again, they have this bond in his mind and Doffy is yandere material and now sees Tsuru as someone important to him. Not really family, but not an enemy either, just Tsuru.

I won’t say he will be willing to stay if Impel Down ever got taken down, but he will find their new game of cat and mouse amusing! Almost like a Batman and Joker relationship, he feels incomplete without her now.

I don’t think he sees her that way romantically, it’s more just to feed his own ego. She needs to catch him and he needs someone to hate.

If Tsuru raised him over Trebol:

Not that Trebol raised Doffy anyway- he was 18 when he began to manipulate Doffy, and well he’s just not a father figure.

Doffy as a child would hold resentment towards Tsuru at first for not respecting his place as a Celestial Dragon, even if he was denounced as one. However, as times goes on, he does start to learn that humans and Celestial Dragons aren’t all that different (cause they aren’t-).

Refuses to call her mom, even though she never asked him to. It’s just automatic in his brain that this woman would want to replace someone he feels is godlike. In Doffy’s mind, his mother was never to blame, it was all his father’s fault for their downfall, so Doffy truly regards his mother as some like goddess/Virgin Mary way.

As for Tsuru, she sees him as a traumatized brat, someone who does need love, but also a good smack on the head at times when he gets out of hand.

he wouldn’t become a marine, he will mostly grow up resenting Celestial Dragons and the World Government. Tsuru would have him taught on what they do and how they treat people, as well as the importance of what arrogance is versus confidence. So he wouldn’t want to work for an organization that protects trash like them. 

He would probably still try to be a pirate, but without the Ito Ito no Mi, he might not make it as far as his original universe persona has. I believe he would still have the knowledge of Dressrosa, but wouldn’t be able to conquer it.

Is the rascal charge of Tsuru that gets caught a lot and released, only to get caught again. He’s a cat that never learns his lesson-

stop i keep thinking about how much kin’emon loves tsuru…he was willing to cut down a fucking mountain god, damning wano in the process, if it meant getting tsuru back. tsuru, who always stuck up for and paid for him when people would come after him for his gambling debts. tsuru, who wanted him to get a good job to make sure he was safe. tsuru, who would be the only person in their little world who would miss him if he was gone. there’s so much love there…i adore them
