This story has legs and was recently translated into Vietnamese, too.

It still hasn’t caught the eye of Law & Chopper recommendation lists though 🥰 Neither of my Law & Chopper fics have. Ah well, can’t win them all!

Minor keys focus on accidentals, relay stories in perfect and imperfect intervals. Law knows all too well that minor incidents have major repercussions, and that major incidents are blanketed in quiet. He keeps his stories close to his heart and hidden from the world.

What had he achieved? Was he the man Cora had hoped he'd be?

A fic based on artwork by @a-tsute​, Clair de Lune.  Art work embedded with permission. Themes of the moon, reflection, birdsong in the night and hope. T-rated. Word Count: 2,166.

...The night before had been white and full with the light of the moon, the tips of waves rushing the rubble fallen from the cliffs above. Some birdsong wove in and out, the wind lifting the cord of Cora's hat a few times, but not strong enough to blow the maps back in. The cartography of leaky ships, not life rafts.

Cora had been willing to give up. He'd tried, but the boy was going to die. And he was too young to die. Had been through too much, and was too young to have been through so much. But there he was putting him through more.

Law slept with arms wide, mouth open, snoring into the night. Kinda accompanied the twirps and burbles of whatever bird decided it deserved a commentary.

Had Cora been drinking? Yeah. Sentimental. The kid wasn't gonna make it after all. That day when Law had stabbed him. Creepy doctor fuck. Shit. Law inflicted harm, but it wasn't like Cora hadn't inflicted his own.
